On the 10th of May 2024, The Mill House hosted our dream wedding and myself and my husband could not be happier with their services.nI'll begin first with the venue which is stunning, especially with its wedding decor and at night when it's lit up outside. The car park is big, which is great for having plenty of guests and there is an outdoor seating area if you're lucky enough to have the weather for it.nInside you'll find the bar which hosts a good variety of drinks including cocktails. The main room has great big windows which allow for plenty of natural daylight to enter and there's plenty of space for eating and dancing. Both the bar and the main room have ambient mood lighting and speakers, so that wherever you are in the venue you'll be able to hear your music.nI would really encourage anybody considering booking the Mill House to go and see for yourselves how beautiful the place looks in particular at night.nWe first visited the Mill House after looking at other wedding venues and being disappointed, but Sharon who runs the building as well as an accompanying venue dressing business welcomed us with open arms, great ideas and a sense of comfort that put us at ease during the stress of planning a wedding.nQuestions about planning, the ceremony, timings and order of things were all answered calmly. At times when we needed some advice, we could ring Sharon and ask for her help and opinions and she's so easy to talk to. She really helped pull our wedding together and on the day was completely organised, professional and supportive where we needed it.nSo, if you're looking for a venue, The Mill House would easily be my only recommendation and if you're looking for venue dressing then reach out to Sweetness and Lights, because we can't recommend these enough.
We visited the millhouse for the second time the staff are just the best. The room is very good and warm. And most of all the food is just the best well worth the money. I will say if you like food then it's for you. Stephen hunt Accrington lions club.
Thank you so much for the Millhouse Venue for hosting my wedding on the 24th August 2024. Everything went absolutely perfect. The venue is absolutely stunning, the decor was beautiful. Everyone commented on how lovely the buffet food was and I definitely enjoyed the pizzas that we ordered for later in the evening as i scoffed 5 slices. Sharon was so helpful and accommodating, she even went to go and get our rings out of the limo, when we realised 1 min before walking down the Aisle they were still in the car. I thoroughly recommend anyone booking this little hidden gem of a building for their function. I'm so happy we choose to get married here the best day ever xx
Staff kindly hosted our yr11 prom - it was fabulous!! A great venue, good space and layout; lovely decor and the extra touches; bar staff were very welcoming and patient with pupils, the outside space was a lovely setting in the evening sun. All in all, a brilliant evening enjoyed here.
The Mill House Venue hosted our Celebration of Life for a close family member. Despite it being a sad day, Sharon and her team made the gathering so pleasant. There was a very welcoming atmosphere and we loved the bright function room. Everything had been prepared beforehand so that the day went smoothly. Sharon easily accommodated our request for more vegetarian food for the buffet and kept food for those with a food intolerance to the side. Everything was clearly labelled and the food was lovely. The projector in the function room allowed us to display our happy memories on screen. Everyone loved it. Thank you to you and your team Sharon, we wish you all the best.
