The kitchen had unfortunately closed when we visited so it was just tea and cake. The menu looked delicious though. I loved the atmosphere and they mismatched furniture. Great second hand book area. The actual shop is fantastic, so large we actually got lost.
It is a lovely area for sitting in with a mix of coffee tables and sofa with a log Effect fire in the corner. We had a sandwich, cake and tea/ coffee. For a bag with two very small tuna and red onion sandwiches it cost £4.50. Large chunks of red onion were laid on top of the tuna instead of being finely cut and mixed with the tuna. My wife had the chicken and bacon sandwich which she found bland and tasteless. In total we paid over £25.00 for three sandwiches, two cakes, two teas and a coffee. I've had much better quality and value elsewhere. Think I'll stick to coffee and cake next time and leave the food, it's not worth the price.
We always eat here. Love the turkey meal offered on the day and big portions. Place is clean and bright.Food: 5/5
The cafe is clean the staff friendly and the cake is delicious The cafe is breastfeeding friendly and boasts a second hand book selection where you can "help yourself". The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy. This is one of my favourite local haunts on a chilly day when I just want a nice coffee and some to myself. Vegetarian options: A good range. One of the few places I've been to with vegan cakes on offer that aren't simply a brownie not that's there's anything wrong with a brownie! Dietary restrictions: A lot of effort has been put into food labelling and highlighting allergens as well as vegan options.
Good lunch choices. Huge portions. Friendly staff and no rush. Great place to meet up with friends.Food: 5/5
In-store restaurant, food was really good, staff were friendly and helpful, would certainly use againFood: 5/5
Lovely place really good food selection reasonable prices really nice friendly staff very helpful will be back soon.
The food is always great quality at a reasonable price with generous portion sizes. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful too. Parking: There are 2 large car parks for the store, the rear one being only a few metres walk from the café entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: The café is on the ground floor with a solid floor from the car park to the doors, with ramps available where necessary in other areas of the store. The chairs are able to be moved from the tables to allow space for a wheelchair and the aisles are wide enough to allow wheelchairs to pass.
Quick service, café was clean and tidy. Chose a quiet time to go so we were not rushed. Lovely fresh soup.
Bit pricey but the food is excellent quality and the staff very good
