The coffee was nice but pretty small compared to other places and the black coffee was warm only. The cake was nice but yet again on the small side compared to other places. Not much seating available. Disappointed no actual food available so ended up having to go look elsewhere for food. Not the cheapest place either especially for the size. I ended up going to the oven door I think it was called and got food, and it seemed to be much better all round.
First visit to Milman Cafe in Peebles, and I’m not impressed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was your typical Fiverr-style boutique branding — polished, trendy and designed to look the part. Unfortunately, the green tea was completely tasteless and lacked any real flavour, which was disappointing.nnThere was also the now all-too-common “artisan coffee shop” issue of people waiting an unnecessarily long time for what should be a simple takeaway coffee. At one point there were around 11 people queued up, all seemingly waiting quite a while for very small portions of coffee to go.nnBranding and aesthetics are fine, but without a genuinely good product and efficient service behind it, it only goes so far.
Stylish, calm, great service. I'm talking about the café, not myself. I do talk plenty more about myself at PickyManinaVan though.
Phenomenal service, with extremely lovely staff!! First decent flat white I've had in a while, incredible pastry and treated my pup with all the love she deserves!! Top notch all round xo
Excellent place but a victim of its own success in that it's too small for all the crowds that come in....nnPeople come to the door, like the look of it but don't come in because it's too full.nnMost of the customers seem to be women in their thirties.
