Service was excellent, very welcoming and friendly. Many customers from the local community stopped to talk to us and ask my daughter questions about a badge she was wearing. All in all a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. 15 flavours of ice cream to choose from for our milkshakes! Toast a little on the pricey side for my liking, would be nice to see some cheaper menu options for children. Wheelchair accessibility: Facilities very spacious and good for accessibility for wheelchair users although door from the restaurant to the facilities is difficult to open as I believe it's a heavy fire door with a latch.
Needed a lunch stop on journey actress the country and this delivered exactly. Quick service. Original menu. Tart and salad generous portion. Really tasty greens on sourdough toast with Goats cheese, walnut dukha and quince jelly. Started to eat before thought about taking photos :Food: 5/5
My teenage daughters favourite breakfast hang out. The food is consistently great, good quality and cooked perfectly. I tried the special ‘benny’ breakfast in this picture. A twist on eggs Benedict with hash brown. There is a slight sense now and again that the owners want your table back to sit new customers which is why it’s not a 5 star. Tables always decorated with fresh flowers and a busy happy atmosphere. I’ve never seen the place empty which says everything!
Really great place. They have some lovely sheds converted for outside seating, great for those wishing to avoid crouds, dogs allowed inside huts and they have heaters! Only been for breakfast or coffee and cake which has always been lovely, but the main courses and ice cream selection looks very tempting! Good quality, nicely prepared food all served by friendly staff
A superb brunch - really interesting dishes on the regular menu and the specials menu - certainly a bit more than the usual full English! The smashed avo and halloumi on rye was excellent, especially with the addition of some chorizo. The coffee is really very good indeed here, a world away from high street coffee shops and the same quality as the highest end specialty coffee shops. And the milkshakes - simply glorious! The salted caramel milkshake had a bitterness to it that tasted just like real caramel rather than caramel flavouring - without a word of hyperbole, it was the best salted caramel milkshake I’ve had. Definitely recommend for a self-indulgent brunch!
We are on the way from Surrey to Manchester for the United game. What a nice rest point for our breakfast. We love it.
Sourdough bread was v well done , crispy soft n flavourful . Salted caramel ice cream is a must try
Just had a cracking breakfast here, perfectly located on our route home. Quick service, and tasty food. Highly recommended
Stopped for a light lunch on the way home to Leicestershire after finishing a cruise holiday in Southampton. Chose it from a Google search for its perfect location just a short distance off the A34. What a find. Clearly popular with the locals and unsurprisingly busy on a Saturday lunchtime, but one of their girls helped us get a table after just a short wait and it proved so worthwhile. The food was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and helpful and well deserving of the modest gratuity I put in their little tip bucket. It will be a regular choice of ours for future journeys to and from the south coast.
Well organised and safe entrance. A good range of food available but the kitchen closes at 2.30 pm. I had a really nice banana split with a choice of different flavours of ice cream. I would definitely recommend.
