Nipped in here on a Sunday lunchtime for a quick drink. Loved the vibe of the place and the decor! We ended up getting some nibbles from the bar snacks menu as the menu sounded amazing. We weren't wrong, the food was great! We definitely want to come back to try the full menu. Friendly staff too. Great little pub!
Lovely family meal. Prices very reasonable and good service. Children's meals aren't the usual bigger portions you find in some pubs but are much higher quality food, maybe order an extra side : will be back as the teen wants to try the deep fried oreos!Food: 5/5
Ignored by 3 staff at the bar whilst waiting to place order for food and drinks. Not one of them acknowledged my presence or said they would be with me soon. I was the only person waiting on the side and they walked past me behind the bar at least 6 times without even making eye contact. I think they need some training on customer service. This was our first visit to Barton under Needwood but won’t be returning to the Bell. We decided to leave and give our money to someone who valued it.
Oh dear What has happened went Sunday 17th April 2023. Place was like the Marie selected. No food no chef and no peaple. Only plus is the bear is great, This place used to be packed on most days and Sundays especially.Food: 1/5
We had booked a table for 5 although the service was okay the food was the worst I have ever endured I had the Palm Chicken on a burnt bap with bone in the breast burn batter over cooked fries if that's what they were, everything about the food was shocking, the menu was so basic that a child could of cooked the food better no one in our part had a good word to say about their meal the team member that cleared our table didn't even ask if we had enjoyed or even finished our meals before clearing the table, the table near us were also shocked about the state of their meals too I mean how do you burn a pineapple slice, Middle Bell you really need to get a chef in and look at your menu, I will honestly say that we will not be returning,
Lovely old pub and very friendly bar staff. The pizzas are amazing, we had the Steakhouse pizza which had big pieces of steak on, served very hot and tasted wonderful. The pub is very clean and tidy and all covid rules are in place and a very safe environment. We will definitely be back.
Lovely family environment,plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. No sheltered area outside. Nice for a quick nibble and pint. Home cooked scratchings with apple puree was delicious.
Very pleasant bar man. Interesting pub in a quaint village. Didn't eat, just had a drink and sat outside. Lovely inside and the loos were clean and quirky.
Stumbled upon this pub on a day out, it was surprisingly quiet but the food and service were excellent.Food: 5/5
Fantabulous food! Absolutely delicious from first bite. First time going and can confidently say I will definitely be returning. Fish and chips are absolutely gorgeous, served in a quirky style which I liked very much.
