Glad we booked ahead at this busy restaurant. Service was slick, folks knew what they were doing and the food arrived promptly. Nachos starter was woofed down between us, a family favourite. Portions were good and flavours made us smile. Pleased we choose this place, would go back to try more!
Absolutely delicious! Food is super nice, service is always friendly and staff are always willing to help. Not had a bad meal here. Can get quite noisy at times but depends on the atmosphere you are looking for.
I've been eating out in the Exmouth area for 3 month and finally got round to this place. What a gem! Walking through the door you're met by happy friendly staff. Looking at the menu, there's plenty of choice, plus specials too. All very reasonably priced! The drinks are also very reasonable for a restaurant. Good start! The starter... I had tuna, perfectly cooked and beautiful flavours! The main... if you order the mexicana, be warned The description should read "this chicken was marinated on the rim of an active volcano and cooked in the core of the sun"! ...." its spicy just doesn't cut it! However the flavours are to die for! Dessert, the chef's Mexican ice cream is quite simply delicious! In summary, I usually live in Plymouth.... I would happily make that journey for a meal here. Absolutely amazing and well worth the visit!
If you prefer quantity over quality this place will serve you well. We had nachos to start pictured and the presentation was very lacklustre, I appreciate it may be hard to make this look nicer but they could definitely try - it's almost unidentifiable! Portion sizes were good and as you can see they're generous with sauces but quality is lacking throughout all the food we had. The most disappointing thing was the duck breast pictured - they write on the menu that it comes pink but there wasn't even a hint of blush on any piece. The piece pictured was the thickest part of the meat where you'd hope there might be a tinge of red but it was completely cooked through - very disappointing, if I'd have known I would have stipulated to please do it rare but I took their word. Also be warned if you go for any steak you only get a choice of "pink or well done?" Not sure if they can't cater for anything else or why they don't ask how you'd like it rather than only giving 2 options. Think the staff or kitchen definitely need to be advised that this is an issue and ultimately is what has driven the reduced rating. Staff were friendly and service was quick to begin with but after we got the bill no one came to us despite trying to catch the staff's attention multiple times so after 15 mins of waiting I went to the counter where I got told off for coming up to the bar and not waiting at the table which wasn't appreciated. The rice also wasn't good...can't say for sure but looks and tastes like microwave rice. The positives however were the staff made sure one of our guests, who has a few food intolerances, was able to eat something which was really appreciated. Also the margarita! For £5 I had low expectations but it was actually very good. Given the reviews I had high hopes for this place but unfortunately was fairly disappointed. I probably wouldn't come back because the quality was subpar but I wouldn't rule it out if there was nowhere else - probably good for a large group/party.
Varied menu with all the usual mexican favourites. Cooked well and very tasty. Prices are very reasonable as are the cocktail. Highly recommended.
Food was excellent, why didn’t we find this place sooner. Very friendly staff, lovely outside seating area. Enchiladas to die for, so tasty.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and brilliant staff. The food and cocktails are incredibly authentic and tasty. I would recommend the home made Mexican ice cream, possibly the best boozy ice cream I've ever had. All at a very reasonable price. Thank you to the team there. We ate here last night 30/06. Spur of the moment thing... no booking. This was no problem for the wonderful staff - they found us a table straight away. Friendly service, slick service. Great menu choice. Big portions. Wonderful food. Decor is fab.. vibe was lovely... just a brilliant dining experience. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to others!
Clearly popular as it was really busy. Cam see why as the food was excellent and very well priced. Would recommend.
We made a last minute booking after a day out in Exmouth. The food was so tasty, huge portions and full of flavour. The staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly. Prices very reasonable. We would definitely recommend.
