So far this year I've been 3 times but been going to this theatre since I was young. It's a fantastic theatre offering a wide selection of different theatrical performances from plays to musicals to Panto and comedians. The seats are reasonable for the quality of performance you see as well. This is a large theatre with lots of seating but stage is medium size so pick you seats wisely. Saying that, you'll still enjoy it sat wherever you are inside the Mayflower
I really like this theatre, which regularly brings good shows down from London. The inside has classic theatre charm, and the acoustics are pretty good saw Book of Mormon sitting in the stalls and it was a great audio/visual experience The toilets are teeny tiny though, so don’t leave it long in the intermission to queue up… or don’t get a drink before the show lol.
Travelled from London to see Joseph at the Mayflower. Was such an amazing show, all cast were brilliant. Staff inside the theatre were super friendly and helpful. Merchandise is fairly expensive but that's to be expected at a show unfortunately. Beautiful theatre from 1928. Great views from pretty much every seat.
A beautiful theatre, we had a fantastic time watching a show. Nearby parking and easy to navigate to, I would happily watch another show here! Snack bars in the theatre sell ice cream at the interval.
What a beautiful theatre the Mayflower is. We sat in the dress circle and had great seats. I thought the price of the tickets were a bit pricey, as was the ice cream, but hey ho. .. My Fair Lady was Excellent
Absolutely love this theatre! Clean tidy organised, lots of helpful staff! Huge comfy seats, lots of legroom, and 2 bar areas. Parking in nearby multi storey is reasonably priced. 1 request for the panto... please stop using loud bangs!
Fantastic theatre, excellent staff. Really clean and such a beautiful theatre. Seating was fantastic. The way the seats are arranged, you never sit behind anyone directly, as the seats are staggered. I sat on the stall seats. Row J. So closed the stage yet still got a good angel on the stage. Fantastic
Great theatre with a wide selection of seats for all levels of affordability. That being said if you're up on the balcony and someone tall sits in front of you then that's the show! Luck of the draw though so nothing on the theatre! Really nice and closed sound stage and great staff. Good experience all around.
Went to see WNO's Madame Butterfly. Front row seat. No queue. Guided to seat smoothly. Pleased to see toilets are unisex - no queue. Production started promptly and was wonderful.Nice theatre, comfortable seats. Can't fault my experience. .
This was our 1st visit to the Mayflower Theatre. We got confused due to the main Mayflower theatre which is positioned on Commercial Road in Southampton. If your using a satnav then put in MAST MAYFLOWER STUDIOS or THEATRE, SOUTHAMPTON. Disabled parking is available a short walk from the theatre. There is also multi storey car parking around the area of the theatre but I don't know how far away from the theatre it is. As you enter the foyer and proceed up the stairs, on the left is a small camera that captures your temperature and face recognition, that made us feel more relaxed about mixing with other people as covid is still a huge threat. The bar looked to have a decent selection of drinks I.e tea, coffee, hot chocolate, beers, wine and soft drinks. Make sure you get a receipt when buying snacks and drinks as my sons card what not being accepted for contact less or chip and pin, so I paid for him and we had ended up paying twice for the same order but as we didn't get a receipt there was nothing that could be done. The seats are comfortable and the view from Zone A, area C is a very good place to sit and you get an unobstructed view of the stage. My family and I will definitely return to the theatre.
