The Matthew Arnold School is a co-educational secondary school with academy status located in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, England. The school educates pupils from the age of 11 ("Year 7") to 16 ("Year 11").
The Matthew Arnold School has a strong position in the local community - geographically, socially, emotionally and academically. We are well-placed to attract a truly comprehensive intake, and the school already serves as a sports and social centre thanks to our outstanding sports facilities. The school has served the local community since before the Second World War. Like any school, it has had its good times and faced its challenges, but it has never lost the allegiance of the local community and we have an obligation to acknowledge and maintain this loyalty by being the very best school we can be.
