Took a short drive off my road trip to have lunch and it was sooo worth it. The food was amazing and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend it
Good food & drink with excellent friendly service. We were driving through and fancied a Sunday lunch. Popped in, instantly seated with food following very shortly. See photo - enough said.

Nice little pub next to the railway station. We had a nice meal, good range of drinks. It was quiet when we were in late Monday afternoon, which suited us, but staff were attentive and super friendly, including tips for the rest of our trip round the highlands.
So friendly. An ideal, cosy, warm and welcoming venue located alongside the platform and outside Dingwall railway station. Whether you're travelling on the train or just visiting Dingwall, or are a local, you will be welcome at The Mallard. Great selection of food & drink. A member of staff was delightful in helping me with suggestions of places to visit on Orkney. Great ginger beer over ice. Decent toilet facilities too. I couldn't find any others at the station.
Decent pub to watch football. Big televisions on the wall with sky sports. Prices are pretty good with a couple of pints for 8 quid upwards depending on the brand. Jukebox on the go. Very handy with the train platform right outside.
Although we live locally we have never visited this pub before, decided to try it on Saturday with friends, very friendly bar staff, free snacks on the bar and to our delight, Kareoke!! It was a special event with Kareoke, quiz and disco. We had a couple of lovely pints with a tune at 4pm. Great fun.Atmosphere: 4/5
My wife and I were stopping at the campsite and decided to try it for a meal and a few drinks, service was nice and friendly and the portion sizes more than enough, so most definitely will go back for yet another meal. Steak and ale was excellent and the wife's scampi was great, but the haggis fritters to start were amazing.
Good.comfort food, well priced.and really friendly, helpful staff.
Warm welcome for the pair of us and put at our ease also Molly the Collie. Great service, good food and drink for us all. Thanks for your hospitality, we’ll certainly be back
