Fantastic shop - lot of bargains and speedy delivery by nice people .Worth visiting . Thanks Tomas
Got a bread bin here, brand new and good price. The shopkeeper remembered me as I’d asked about bread bins several times and kept it in the back for me. Quality service!
Mostly sells cheap clothes, toys, and nick nacks. I’d recommend it if you’re in the area and just so happen to be looking for anything mentioned above, otherwise you’ll find no different from any similar shop. Not bad, fine even, but nothing to rave about. There are a few books for sale, but not many, and they aren’t categorised. Their sister shop, The Magpie’s Eye, however sells a wide variety of well organised and great books for as little as 3 for £1.
Great wee shop for starter pack’s and other stuff for moving to a new house
I really, really want to be able to give this shop a five star review as my wife and I found some great bargains during our recent visit. Nowhere else have I found a 1920s Uranium Glass fruit bowl for just £2. It has a great range of stock and nothing I saw was even close to being overpriced - in fact, the vast majority of stock was considerably underpriced. However, the attitude of the young lady behind the counter was appalling. She was all sunshine and smiles for the customer in front of me and greeted me with similar enthusiasm. Unfortunately, the instant I spoke and she heard my English accent, her attitude changed in an instant. It was like I'd spat in her face. No more please and thank you. No more smile. She was overtly hostile and, quite frankly, ignorant. Such was her desire to banish me from her presence, she actually gave me too much change not placed in my open hand, but slammed on the counter, though given her attitude I didn't actually notice until I was out of the shop. In case anyone thinks that maybe something happened besides her hearing an English accent, when my Scottish wife went to be served just two minutes later, the young lady was all sunshine and smiles again. Just for the record, I'm Irish, but was raised in the south of England. Regardless, the hostility demonstrated towards a paying customer was entirely unnecessary and offensive. When you work in any place where you have to deal with customers, leave your bigotry at the door.
I go sometimes and always when it's something good it's already saelled
