Friendly staff and great location as we had a night in town. The room was ok, but the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. It was solid as a rock and uneven? Apart from not getting any sleep, the room was fine. Breakfast in the morning was ok as well, it would have been nice to have fresh coffee instead of instant, but that's a personal thing. Thanks for the hospitality.
We were only looking for an overnight stay so weren't looking for anything extravagant so went for here as it was a reasonable price for a 3 star hotel. On arrival the hotel looked tired and dated, badly in need of a spruce up and the room wasn't any better. Room looked like it hadn't been redecorated since the 80's. Mattress was so soft that it felt like I was sleeping on the base of the bed! I won't be staying here again Rooms: Tired and dated and badly in need of redecoration. Mattress so soft I was sleeping on the base of the bed
The lady at the reception was amazing and made us feel very welcomed sarah and the guy at the bar jimmy made our night he was the best bar tender I’ve ever met, he was such a lovely guy and made our night to be an excellent night. Apart from the staff being excellent the room wasn’t up to standard being stains on the toilet floor and only one socket in the room we thought it wasn’t up to standard. But apart from that the staff and food was excellent
Do not stay here with children or if you like peace and quiet , it was like being next to a NIGHTCLUB !!! , complained in the morning. Was told that " if we give you a refund we will have to give everyone a refund " . She also told us kids had been at the disco ??? Mine didn't want to be at the party they wanted to be asleep. They put us in a room 5 Meters from the noise which went on till 12 , we could hear everything. Disgraceful attitude by manager .
One of the most disgusting hotels I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. Dirty, in need of decoration, the mattress was 'bottomed out' very uncomfortable, woke up with bites all over my body. Food was awful and very Limited choice, you have to to run around the tiny shower to get wet! Do not stay here it is disgusting just an awful experience
Today, Moday 01 st of April 2024, I arrived earlier than the check in time at the hotel, about 12:30 hrs I was at the reception. Sara was at work. I asked her, if I could leave my car in the parking lot of the hotel. She told me that there were no problems. After that I shared that for some time in the evening pain has appeared in the area of my right arm, around the elbow, if my arm is not stretched to the side, which is why I asked if there is a possibility to be accomodated in a room, where the bed was as big as possible. I had paid already for a double bed. After looking carefully, at the availability rooms, and told me which one I would be accomodated in. She also told me that if I wanted she would accomodate me now. I agreed and she personally took me to the room. Sara found time to explain to me,kindly,in details and comprehensibly for me,what and how to do, if I need assistance, while I am their guest. I was delighted and greatly impressed by Sara's behavior and attitude towards me,the ordinary regular customer. I want to tell you that I have never met such a display of humanity and understanding, during my many stays in hotels. For me SARA is not only a role model for her colleagues in the hotel, but also a role model for all of us. I will visit this hotel again at at the earliest opportunity, and would strongly recommend it to everyone. THANK YOU SARA!!! Best wishes, D.D.
One of the weirdest hotels I've ever been in. Not sure the history of this place but it seems like a mashup of different cuisines and cultures. Staff seem friendly enough. The room was standard. Clean enough but visually jarring. There is no coherence throughout the hotel, from the staffs outfits, to the decor, to the food. This hotel needs a complete retrofit and a good clean. There are neon lights and cables everywhere. It looks very tacky and cheap. Rooms aren't very soundproofed - you could hear every door close in the morning. Rooms are also too hot. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast selection was poor and greasy. What was available didn't taste great.
Stayed there for 4 nights in October 2023, would not stay there again. If your looking for a basic hotel this is the place. Upon check-in there was no one at reception, there's a bell to ring for staff, no one came we had to look around for a staff member to check us in. Met a couple at reception who were there to complain about there room which they had to change for a second time. Got to our room which is a building attached to the main building of the hotel. It reminds me of an half way house. The room is very basic. The mattress is lumpy and uneven it either needs turning over or replacing. The furniture is from either the 60's or 70's, the headboard has a built-in clock radio. There was only 1 towel in the room, no phone to call reception had to go down to reception toget more towels and shower mat, went back to my room, no towels arrived after an hour, back down to reception to see the towels sitting on the chair behind the desks asked why they didn't bring them up and was told that they did not know what room we were in, even though they had checked us in and assigned us our room/number. Would not recommend. Walkability: A 6 minute walk to Mustard Seed coffee shop/restaurant in Perth. Excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Food & drinks: Ordered a beer from the bar which was fine but never ate at the hotel, never even went into the dinning room, the menu was not that appealing.
Had to change rooms twice. In the first room the hot water wasn't working. In the second room the electric shower wasn't working. Eventually they gave us a really nice twin room. Apart from that the breakfast was good and the large bar was tastefully done up in an Anerican theme. Generally positive experience as they gave us another room
The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast was good and with a variety of options. The staff was really nice and helpful. They have a restaurant serving pizza and other fast food until late, and a pub with a pool table where you can enjoy a beer and that is open until late but it is not noisy from the rooms. The big advantage of this hotel is the value for money, especially in Scotland, where accommodation tends to be very expensive. It is also very handy if you are coming by car, as you don't need to enter the city centre and they have parking available.
