Stopped in for some food before getting train home. Had their 3 small plate offer to share between 2 of us. Food was good but they brought 1 incorrectly ordered dip with one of the 3 plates which neither of us enjoyed but did not distract from the main food. Good value and beer prices excellent
Went here for tea with the family on our first night in Scarborough as we were tired from travelling thanks Transpennine Express! and Spoons is usually a pretty safe bet for decent portions at an affordable price with no hassle.nnImpressive building from a distance but up close it looked quite run down, not helped by all the groups of drunken men stood around outside. Bouncer on the door whose presence at 6pm was another red flag scowled at us as we entered.nnInside very dimly lit and again seemed grubby, dingy and run down. Very busy but most customers seemed to be male, definitely not a family-friendly place at all. 13yo stepdaughter was being leered at by one guy.nnWe felt quite uncomfortable and left without ordering. Might be OK for lunch but don't take the kids here for a cheap tea. This was a Wednesday evening so not a time you'd expect it to be especially rough / rowdy.
Nice weatherspoons pub in Scarborough. Food was nice. And some nice dark ales too
A large Wetherspoon’s over two floors! Food and service were good and the place, including the toilets were clean. Plenty of disabled access on the ground floor, which a friend required. Would recommend for affordable dining when in the area.
Chav centralnOh my days, not even 10am and everyone’s getting drunk.nAll you can hear is constant chat about inappropriate stuff while little kids are in having their breakfast.nI’ve got a huge headache after been in here for half an hour to top it off the rude staff came and stood right near our table going on about the other workers!!!! Rude!!!!!nBest thing was the drinks non alcoholic hot beverages at £1.56p refillable.nProbably better if I was an alcoholic and off my head like rest of them in here.nPicture of the rude worker basically sat with us….. it’s rude!!!! Learn some customer service skills… your getting paid a wage to work.
