Lovely Mother’s Day lunch! The staff were so friendly and helpful and it was a lovely touch to have a box of chocolates for mum on the table. My dad was unwell so couldn’t join us and the staff were so helpful and provided us with a lovely takeaway roast for him. The restaurant was fully booked but was really well organised and planned for. I’ve not been to the pub since before lockdown and must say I was really impressed today. Well done guys, keep up the good work ! Picture of my roast which was delicious!
Absolutely lovely lad served us called Jack, very polite and helpful with a very sunny nature. Two days in a row..... service was so good the first time so we came back ! Delicious food served in a clean and tidy environment
Went for a quick drink. In what is an amazing pub with a fantastic atmosphere that I feel is created by the wonderful staff whom seem to go that extra mile to give you impeccable service with standards that just wants you to return again and again. I must especially mention one of the staff Eloise who's smile and fantastic ability to cater for your needs makes it a pleasure to frequent here. She's definitely a treasure to be kept. And must be a real asset for her Boss and the company she works for. Truly a Brilliant experience and visit I'll be back...
Can't praise this place highly enough. The staff were fantastic, so friendly, helpful, and patient with our dog who threatened to trip them up a couple of times. The food was great, service was perfect and it was altogether a lovely evening. Our dog absolutely loved the doggy ice cream - thank you to the staff for suggesting it.

Visited on a Saturday for lunch, really friendly staff, the menu had a good selection to choose from. We went for the chicken & avocado sandwich and Salmon & cream cheese, decent portions and very tasty! We enjoyed our afternoon and will definitely be back.
I have recently moved to the area and haven’t had good experiences in the past with chain pubs, but I must say The Lord Nelson have incredible staff. I was greeted by Chloe lovely girl behind the bar and from there was outstanding service. First time trying scampi that come with the signature dish but I must say it was beautiful cooked along with the fish that was all lovey and fresh.
Very good, it wasn't too busy on a Wednesday late afternoon and we found a table easily, then ordered by the Greene King app, a lasagne, lamb shank and a Thai curry, all were very good, ideal portion size and all very tasty. Followed by a crumble and an Eton Mess sundae. All served by friendly staff in a clean environment at reasonable prices.
Hi I would like to thank one of the bar staff Shannon for all her help yesterday. What good service she give us . Helped with the drinks down the stairs with was a brilliant help as we was all drunk lol . Merry Christmas and happy new year . Well done Shannon you was a star thank you x
Brilliant pub. Lovely warm atmosphere with decent food and a good selection of drinks. Helpful, friendly staff and a well run pub. Decorated very well for Christmas with plenty of posters of upcoming events.
