Unplanned visit but was worth it. The waitress was very polite and pleasant. The service was adequate and the food main meals was nice. Took advantage of the 2 course offer and will visit again. The only disappointment was had to walk past smokers on the way in who were puffing away merrily seated outside. Vegetarian options: Not extensive but enough of a selection, would like to see more variety for vegetarians ,/ vegans. Parking: No concern, adequate parking.
Great food, especially the haddock & chips. Very friendly & attentive staff. Very nice meal to a good day at whistable. Best we have ever been treated at a beefeater. Thank u to Sarah. Will definitely be back when back in the area.
Had the breakfast full English. It was a tenner and had as much as I fancied. VERY nice, cooked to my overdone request so I was chuffed. Coffee re-filled a half dozen times and table cleared as and when we had an empty of anything. All in all, way better than I'd expect and a really nice, warm, convivial place to have a civil breakfast. I also had good company which helps, but obviously makes the servers job a pain but they just did all so well. Genuinely happy. Vegetarian options: They were there on the menu. Kid-friendliness: They said they were so I believed them Parking: Loads of it. Wheelchair accessibility: It is what is is and looked fine with the ramps, wide aisles etc, BUT I'm fortunate not to have the need. Dietary restrictions: I don't have any restrictions BUT plenty of the people I was with had gluten-free, diabetic, pernickity etc needs and all met without a blip.
As ex colleagues, we decided to meet and enjoy a sunday lunch here. I wasn't a member, so I was given a membership card to join. Unfortunately I never read the leaflet until I got back home later, so I missed out on getting 300 points from the days lunch. The lunch was lovely, but and I wasn't the only person from our small group who thought the veg was too hard, hence a missing star . Never stayed, do I cannot comment on the rooms
Woke up after having an hour’s lie down three. Went to the restaurant at half nine and it was clear that they were not doing food. However, I really just wanted a salad and they were more than happy to do that and threw in a jacket potato too. Many thanks to Lucy and team.
The food is basic but appeals as the restaurant was full. Coleslaw; mass catering standard watery mayo, fries just cooked, chicken breast a thin, almost plastic textured fillet and ribs terribly over spice rubbed... inedible to another guest but big portions if you're hungry. Service was slow but there seemed to be only a few staff. Our Server worked really hard to take our orders for drinks and food and her efficiency cannot be faulted. The decor is getting tired and the flooring sticky and tatty but its probably as it's so busy! Parking: Great for free parking, a bonus in Whitstable.
Quite possibly one of the worst places I’ve had food in a long time. Clearly the place benefits from not getting many loyal revisiting customers due to its close proximity to the Premier Inn, as the food is overpriced and underwhelming. We ordered a Burger and Smothered Chicken Melt. Portions are small, it came not very well presented and our chunky chips were still slightly undercooked from the inside. However staff members were friendly. The bill came to around £40 without alcohol for 2 people.
My mains, Makhari curry, was well presented. The rice was a little clumped, but the rest of the dish was hot and tasty. My starter, breaded mushrooms, were so hard that it was impossible to penetrate them with a fork. My wife's gammon steak she remarked as tasteless. The dining area where we were seated was chilly. The toilet doors are in need of painting. Service was slow. 80 mins for two courses. We have eaten here before, and it was as a result of that pleasant visit we returned.
Good atmosphere in the restaurant and outstanding service too. Food wasn't as good as usual sadly, and was a little bit greasy compared to normal, but wasn't bad by any measure.Food: 4/5
I had lunch with my friend at the beefeater. Booked in advance online as I wasn't sure if it would be busy. We ordered from the lunchtime me menu which is ideal. I only gave 4 stars because my friend ordered and 2 of the items on the menu weren't available.
