Absolutely brilliant for adults and children. Great interactive experience and near a lot of Londons main architectural attractions too. So once you've been in there's lots to do and see. Great family day out, and would definitely go again. We were lucky to go I'm half term the day after Halloween so it was even better. We brought tickets in advance as we were travelling from quite far and didn't want to get all the way there ans be sold out. But tou can just go at anytime too. Well worth the money and can't wait to go again!!!
We had an amazing time at the London dungeon. Everything from the set up to the characters was brilliant, we absolutely loved it. The actors did an amazing job at entertaining and also scaring us. The horrors of the past were truly brought to life! We have the merlin pass so the entry was effectively free. I definitely recommend getting the annual pass
Fantastic place to visit. Has it's scary moments. The actors and actresses are amazing! Well done, keep up the good work. Definitely think about how your child is with darkness, spooky noises and people screaming. My son has been attending since he was 7. My daughter just turned 8 said she wouldn't like to go again. I will say the adults attended today didn't have care for children not being able to see. They wanted to ensure they had front row seats everywhere and pushing when being moved around. Like Shrek, I would of like someone saying children come to the front.
second time visiting, i absolutely love the decor/vibes and the actors are great- they really know how to interact with the crowd and keep you on your toes. don’t get me wrong though, it’s not very scary and i’d say their intention is to creep you out more than to scare you. i love the walk through londons horrific history and the effort gone into bringing some events to life. i was really upset to find out the 2 rides were closed during this visit so the tour was cut short :/. me and my friends still had a lot of fun though. we enjoyed some nice themed drinks at the bar which was actually pretty affordable considering it’s one of the top london touristic attractions. the team at the bar were very friendly and ensured to make our visit comfortable- shout out to isabel!
We bought tickets in advance. The entry time was exactly as stated on the ticket school holiday so it was busy. The queue is well managed and done in stages, so you feel like you are making progress. You have to go through the photo experience, which I dislike as it just feels too commercialised - they should definitely make this optional. They give you a QR coded ticket if you want photos later on which is fine. It's generally pretty good, the tour takes about 90 minutes, you move through a series of rooms with different guides/characters using historical stories from London's history to tell spooky or gruesome tales. Some of the guides are extremely good, but the stories and spooky things are a bit obvious and forced. There wasn't anything scary or unexpected - everything was a bit predictable, but it is fun none the less. Kids will certainly enjoy it. The guidance for appropriate ages for children is probably a bit extreme and seemed to be ignored anyway - I'd guess kids from the age of 8 and upwards would be mostly OK - but there are minimum height requirements in some areas. The last things is a fairground ride that drops - that's it just a question of when - very mild, but min height is 1.4 metres. Then of course you exit via the gift shop that smoothly morphs into an old fashioned pub, which I thought was a nice touch. It took us 2 hours - 30 minutes queuing inside and then 90 minutes of spooky tales.
I was playing tourist solo and wanted to experience a little Halloween and History. I really enjoyed my visit. The performers were outstanding and their characters were fabulous! Definitely recommended!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
It's been about 20 years since my last visit when I was a teen. I loved it then, but I love it even more now. Lots has changed. You used to just walk around at your own pace, similar to a museum with lots of voice recordings talking you through events in front of you, but now you are escorted through each room and there is someone there in character, who really brings the atmosphere to life. WARNING: There will be audience participation! I was picked on a few times and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Big shout out to all the actors, they were absolutely brilliant! Sadly, at the end of the experience there is a ride to queue up for. The two girls in charge were nothing short of rude. To be clear, they were not 'in character' and were acting like the job and the customers were below them. One of the girls wanted to get by someone but instead of using words, she waved her hand at them to get out of the way, as if she were an A-list celebrity in a 'dont you know who I am'? kind of way. It wasn't an act, and I was gobsmacked at the rudeness. She had zero patience for anyone, barking order at people. If you hate your job that much, find something else. Attitudes like that let the whole experience down. On the whole, I would recommend a visit to London Dungeons if you're brave enough. Don't go if you're scared easily
"An absolutely spine-chilling and thrilling experience! The actors at the London Dungeon are truly phenomenal. Their energy, humor, and ability to immerse the audience in the dark history of London were outstanding. Each character was brought to life with such precision, from their costumes to their chilling performances. They kept us engaged, entertained, and even laughing despite the eerie atmosphere. Special mention to their quick wit and fantastic audience interaction—it made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique and fun way to learn about London’s darker past. Bravo to the entire cast!"
So I have a very mixed review. Me and my friends book advanced tickets to which we could enter any time, we got there and had to wait while they let people who were paying there and then to go through security to which we finally got seen too which was not ideal. We then had to wait for 40 minutes just for the whole thing to start and there wasn't seating or anything so that wasn't really great. However once the show started and we started walking around it was very good. The actors were phenomenal and never broke character, they involved the audience and asked questions and got people to take part which my friend did and she enjoyed and overall they were just fantastic really made the attraction better. The inside looked realistic and the gift shop/ bar staff were really good too. Overall the attraction was good but if you don't like waiting then might not be good for you lol
I attended the after dark blackout walk through for Halloween and must say it's one of my favourite takes on changing up the dungeons for Halloween. Only the York Dungeon 18+ Halloween tour was better in my opinion. The downside, we pre booked tickets and couldn't get an earlier timeslot than 8pm. So on the day, kicking about we were walking past at 7:30pm and surprised to hear the staff trying to encourage more people to enter. Can we enter now? Sure we get told. We spent nearly 40 minutes waiting in the line inside to go through the walk through. Had we turned up at 8pm, that would have been getting well onto 9pm before we got started. For this reason, I can't give the venue 5 stars... It failed me in the one thing we British folks endure and obey obsessively - queuing!
