The Lobster Pot
"The Lobster Pot has been at the heart of the iconic Portland Bill since the late 1940’s in one form or another, and is still owned by the same family, now in the third generation. It is very much a part of the local community, and many Portlanders and Kimberlins!* have either worked at The Lobster Pot, are regular customers with their families, or indeed both.Although The Lobster Pot building may have changed since the early days, our values have remained firmly the same – the customer is at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to offer consistency, good value and excellent service always."

Excellent Cream Tea Probably one of the nicest scones we have ever eaten. Unusually a square shape, still slightly warm, very soft almost like a light and fluffy sponge cake. Lashings of cream and a good jam too. Proper strong leaf tea. Parking: Plenty of parking nearby
Me and my family went here for some breakfast this morning and the food was lush, the employees were lovely and very attentive and patient. The toilets were nice and clean which is always a bonus, and we also spent some money in the gift shop loads of Portland items and gemstones. Amazing experience will definitely be going again. Dietary restrictions: Me and my family have an intolerance to milk and the server asked us about any dietary restrictions.
Stopped for a afternoon cream team. Excellent service from friendly helpful staff, lovely cafe with beautiful 'tourist' shop. The cream teas was delicious and great value, spotlessly clean and modern. The views of the sea are just amazing. Look forward to visiting again soon Kid-friendliness: Asked if high chair was available and our waitress without hesitation strapped one to a chair - spotlessly clean too Parking: Loads of paid for parking adjacent
Lovely views of the ocean. I enjoyed a big English breakfast. I wouldn't recommend the latte however I enjoyed the pot of tea made on real tea leaves. All considered, a very pleasant experience.Food: 3/5
Oh my days, this place is such a magnet,, the place was packed, but managed to get a table, Our visit was purely for the Crab Sandwich but the added extra of cheesy chips.. They also serve proper leaf tea which was amazing. Staff were great, friendly and not trying to push you out the door, even in their busy hours, Highly recommended.
A authentic English cafe located in a beautiful location with both indoor and outdoor sitting. Food is good and the view is excellent.
What a great resteraunt, amazing views, excellent food, helpful attentive staff and dog friendly what more could you ask for. Portland Bill is well worth a visit even if you just call in the lobster pot and have lunch Parking: The car park is huge although charges apply at all times.
Absolutely stunning views with yhe best veggie lasagne. A hidden treasure. Just to note the fish is all covered in beer batter so we couldn't eat it. But the lasagne and cod bite size was amazing. Vegetarian options: Only a very limited selection but still very good Kid-friendliness: Could have bit more for kids
Was not bad the sandwiches for children was so overpriced £9.50 and it was basic. It should be half the price. Considering kids Meals were £10.50 with dessert. The burger was fine the crab as a salad was ok. I understand these being a bit pricey because of the location etc..Food: 4/5
Always a perfect experience. We absolutely love the cream teas. We have been so many times I've lost count. Today we travelled from Chippenham Wilts just for the cream tea...then drove home again Parking: It's not free
