If you enjoy bookshops - you'll enjoy The Little Ripon Bookshop. A relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a lovely selection of books, cards, gifts and tote bags. The children's section is particularly good with a soft seating area for little ones. Support independents!
Wonderful book shop with knowledgeable and friendly staff who can recommend when you need help, get books in overnight and there's always something to tempt me when I go in. Wide and varied stock. Lots of wonderful cards and wrapping paper too. It's a gem of a book shop and we are very lucky to have this in Ripon. Also runs a great bookclub.

We came upon this bookshop by chance while walking to Ripon Spa Gardens. We popped in for a look round and came out half an hour later with an armful of purchases. What a lovely bookshop - well-stocked, attractively displayed, with helpful staff and obviously valued by the community to judge by the little dog enjoying his drink of water on a hot day. Well done to the proprietors. Support our independent bookshops!

Love this shop so much, such a nice atmosphere, excellent customer service and a lovely place to be, brilliant books and just perfect!
Always helpful and really efficient at getting you a book in if they haven't got it in stock. In particular they have been helpful getting and sending books for my mother over the past few years she is now 92 when she was finding it more difficult to get into town. Have an eclectic selection and I never leave without buying something!
Have just visited again to redeem a book voucher that my son was given for his birthday. If you are a parent in the Ripon area, and someone asks what they can give your child as a present, please tell them 'a Little Ripon/Ripon Bookshop token'. The new expanded Ripon Bookshop adjoining has allowed an even larger selection of children's books in the Little Ripon Bookshop. The shop is beautifully and imaginatively presented, family-run and they obviously LOVE books! The staff are friendly and knowledgable the assistant this afternoon seemed to have read most of the books and could discreetly recommend selection as we were stuck. The atmosphere is relaxed, and I wanted to curl up in a corner with a book in fact my son did just that!. My son says 'I recommend the Little Ripon Bookshop because it has a good variety of awesome books, and the staff are friendly and helpful'. I was motivated to post a review because independent shops like these contribute such character to a local area, and I want it to thrive in Ripon.
