I used to like this place; child friendly and serves great salad options. However, the quality of the ingredients is really poor with rubber chicken, slabs of bacon and soggy lettuce just slapped on a plate. It's really disappointing to go out and to think that you could have done a better job at home! Oh, and my husband had olives with a side of salad served to him. Where's the love, guys?
First visit today. Really nice little cafe with a good range of food. Fresh salads, bagels, rolls, sandwich's and all day breakfasts. Good selection of hot and cold drinks too.
This had to have been the cleanest neatest and most well finished toilet in the entire cafe world. Spotless. Impeccable. Rally good selection of light bites. Friendly girls. Price was about right for Epping. The decaf coffee nearly killed me though -very strong stuff!!
The coffee was burnt, I waited a lot in order to try it but it didn't seem really appealing on the outside. Received our sandwiches which were truly amazing tried the roast ham and cheese one. The sandwiches are the reason for the 3 stars. Otherwise, we received no cutlery for our plates and the croissant I got was full with moist, cold and definitely not a today's bake. The place is cosy, lovely to visit but be careful on what you choose.
Great deli & cafe in Epping. I stopped here when out for a Sunday cycle, and was really impressed. They do a mean cappuccino, and the cheesecake is delicious! Will definitely be stopping by regularly from now on.
They do a lovely ruebens a bit expensive but a nice treat. Bread is sweet with a good amount of salt beef. Comes with a Jewish hash brown. Nice little play area for the kids, gives the parents a break. You can also buy some chalah bread there. All in all I like the place.
Like a kindergarten with lots of mothers and children. Ideal if having a mothers meeting but not good if you are meeting friends without children . Too noisy. Went onto another eating place. Thought we might try this place but after having a coffee my friend who is partially deaf couldn't hear our conversation. Sorry but didnt get the opportunity to eat as it was overloaded with children. I love children but also like to go somewhere for a pleasant lunch and relax. Maybe the wrong time of day.
Great place to get a coffee and sit down while my little one plays. Free WiFi too. It can get crowded but they really do cater for little ones with their own menu and a nice play section for them.
Disappointing breakfast experience. We thought we would try The Little Kitchen as Fred and Dougs had a queue out of the door. I had higher hopes, but this place is trying to be something that it’s not. Smoked salmon and eggs on toast comprised of two soggy slices of Hovis bread and scrambled egg that I can do better at home myself. I wouldn’t mind but at £6.90 I would have wanted fresh bread at the very least. When it came to paying my husband was ignored as three of the staff members stood huddled talking about people leaving a poor tip...oh the irony... If you want a decent breakfast in Epping, Fred and Dougs is the place. The Little Kitchen is a glorified cafe with a crèche at the back that means the whole experience was accompanied by the sound of screaming children crashing pan lids together. Just NO!
Fabulous little find in the heart of Epping!! Totally not phased by my quirky lunch request for just a plate of meat!! Protein only diet!! They have a fantastic menu with lots of choice very healthy options too!! Lovely! Definitely worth a visit or two or three!!! Thank you little Kitchen staff! Xxxx
