Absolutely lovely staff and great service, we had good portions on our plates and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced. The place was constantly cleaned and it has lovely interior. Free parking for visitors. Would recommend.
Visited today for lunch with my mum and 3 kids. The food was delicious and staff were fantastic and definitely child friendly my youngest is 2. Emma our waitress was great, really friendly and always about when we needed her. Toilets were clean and smelt lovely. Maybe invest in some more crayons though . But definitely worth a visit and will definitely be back.
The pub has changed recently to some extent. It has a pleasant, intimate atmosphere, the menu is different and better the lunch was really good with excellent service. My only reservation was that I would have liked more vegetable with the meal. Pudding was self indulgent - great!
Staff are really friendly and the food is great. Beer garden is excellent in the summer. The location, right by the mill and the river just adds to the quaint vibe. The iconic bridge which is at least 500 years old really adds to the character of Farningham. This pub is amazing for families and we often take our kids who enjoy being outdoors. I highly recommend it.
Lovely location, standard of food poor. My chicken, avocado, cheese sandwich was of a very poor standard - bread was not fresh, chicken portion small, avocado was merely a perfunctory dab of paste on the bread and the cheese tired and uncooked. All for the princely sum of £8 which included half a dozen chips. My complaint at the time resulted in the cost being removed from my bill. It would have been so much better for the manager to assure me that standards were not met and that alterations would be forthcoming. The removal of my cost was not sufficient to make me go back again.
Food was amazing AND served on hot plate, and staff were very professional. Would definitely come back. In fact we came back twice in one weekend
The service was very friendly and the lunch food was fantastic. This was my second visit and I had the breakfast menu before which was lovely, except they didn't have avocado on this occasion. My one criticism would be there was a couple of things on the menu that were vegan and unavailable which left not a lot to choose from. Was particularly looking forward to the nourish grain bowl but apparently although on the menu it isn't served there which is a shame. I would definitely go again though as what we all had was lovely.
Very good. Nice relaxed atmosphere with family. The chicken and vegetable curry was excellent along with the rest of the food.
My family have been frequent visitors since the 1940s, firstly we love the history of the place being older than America is mind boggling a beautiful building in a fab location. The food is always of a very high standard with a great selection and seasonal changes witch is nice, plenty of choice for drinkers. The staff have always been polite and helpful with Claire your longest serving waitress i believe for over 15 years top of the list nothing is too much trouble.
Lovely country pub tucked away next to a little river, such a nice country feel. Great food, good kids size portions too. The flower pot dessert was a hit.
