pictures speak a thousand words definitely not coming back to this shambles. debating to even out 1 star. 1 Dec at 10.35ish I got this full on rancid.
I lived in Darlington for 32 years and their bread was amazing. I now live in York but visit my mum once a week and usually call in to buy bread. However lately the bread is obviously 2 or 3 days old and is stale, a big pity we used to look forward to it so much. I know in these difficult times it’s wrong to throw away bread, but I think they should sell the day old bread for say £0.30p cheaper than the fresh bread, and gave the client a choice. I have therefore stopped going saves me from binning the bread and my family complaining. Have found a super bakery in town center with fresh bread which the family loves.
Great little bakery. Good prices and what I had was nice. There's a price list on the wall but prices on the item shelves would be much better.
Omg if you have a sweet tooth please try the custard slice wow its amazing ,you will want more .
Bacon and sausage sandwich. 2 proper small pieces of dry bacon and 1 small sausage £2.50
Great pies, lovely sandwiches, attractive cakes, and friendly, helpful staff. What's not to like?
Quiche was lovely as was the Yorkshire curd tarts, did not like chicken salad sandwich used margarine ugh! and why use chicken that's been rolled & pressed ugh! Prices were not clear on a lot of products.
Excellent custard slices, get them often. Today tried their bread, cheese pasty & balti pasty. Also bought some bread buns. Fabulous service definitely recommend.
Always nice food and really clean De
Always worth dropping in. Good job we don't live close by as we would be very overweight! Last time we had quite a queue of hungry workmen in front buying pasties, sausage rolls etc. Good stuff.
