Food was mouthwatering. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Ballachulish We had 2 seafood starters - scallops and mussels. The scallops were the best I’ve ever had & mussels were also incredible and full of flavour. They definitely source local and you can taste it in the meals. For my main I had the seared sea bass for and my partner had the veal. We were both astounded by the food quality and service was kind and accommodating to my dietary requirements too. Drinks were also amazing
Great restaurant! The food was so good! As a tourist who has been all over the country, this has been some of the best food I have eaten so far. I recommend this place to anyone who wants food and is in the area. Great staff and excellent service. Pricing was also very reasonable.
It was 3 of us and we had variations of burgers. Maybe was not the best choice to put in light the quality of the kitchen - however we found the meat too well done and we were left with a full-stomach feeling for the rest of the day we ate at lunch. Overall a nice place with warm service, but compared to other places in Scotland, i find this a 4-star. But recommended, definitely.
Great service here. Staff were professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food really impressed us. I've been served a lot of food that looks a similar level but failed to deliver on flavour... This food really hit the mark. Perfectly seasoned and decent portions. Fantastic really.
Excellent food, worth booking a table. Smallish restaurant, with car park. Fairly plain decor but nice comfy seats. Everything very clean and thoroughly cleaned between guests. The menu is superb and the food doesn’t disappoint. Service was efficient and helpful. After dinner, the village is an interesting place to explore, with lots of information about the old quarry.
Having been disheartened by the options in Fort William, we sought a cosy restaurant to enjoy some hearty Scottish cuisine. From the warm welcome to the friendly service, Laroch did not disappoint. With an extensive menu to suit all tastes at reasonable prices, we indulged in a few different options during our visit. The ‘small’ serve of Scottish mussels was huge, never mind the adequate serving of ‘fish and chips’ that followed. Nestled in a quiet area off the main track, this would be an easy recommendation if passing through on your travels.
Managed to get a table here, thanks to our kind airb&b hosts who helped us get a reservation. Had mussels and twice baked cheese soufflé lobster bisque to start the meal. Braised pork belly and chicken bacon rolls as our mains. Everything was well prepared and flavorful.
Fantastic food, and great service from a young team. You will need to book the table in this what looks unassuming pub/restaurant from the outside. You want to go, make sure you book or you'll be deeply disappointed.
