After a friend told me the food was good, I took my parents for afternoon tea. It’s good. What was EXCEPTIONAL was the gluten free afternoon tea. I eaten so much lacklustre gf food and this was as good as the best I’ve had to the point where my parents were a bit jealous of my scones.nnThe atmosphere is really chill and it’s fun to sit opposite the runway. I imagine it will be fun in summer especially if there are planes buzzing around. The staff are also really friendly.nnMy only thoughts were the service was a tiny bit slow, the tea was a bit weak the cute little internal cage pots get cold quickly which you’re waiting for it to seep and we could have done with tap water on the table so much sugar to make the service perfect.nnBut so good I’ve already booked to go again with a friend and talking to more about it in the new year.
Came here for a birthday lunch, and I was not disappointed! I ordered the lunch special, lamb chops, which were perfectly cooked, alongside a potato cake and some lovely micro herbs. Wonderful food and even better service. Only downside is that we windows weren’t as big as we thought, so was often hard to see the planes flying off and landing.
Thank you to all of the lovely staff at the Landing. Alison especially is a legend & really helped us yesterday when we were running late for a wedding, thank you Alison!!!nNice food, decent wine list, comfy room & good shower!
Rooms are cleaned and nice, but sometimes I find that the toiletries are not replenished empty shampoo, tissues box…nHot breakfast takes too long to be served, we waited for 30min for eggs and pancakes.nFood is good but it shouldn’t take that long.
Wry comfortable lounge and pleasant staff but £4:50 for a coffee! Wow! I didn’t even get a biscuit!
