Had a lovely overnight stay here on a Saturday night.nThe staff were all super friendly and helpful. There is a car park for residents which is very useful for somewhere right in the middle of town.nThe location is really unbeatable. It is two minutes walk from the cathedral. Went to evensong on Saturday and back to have a proper look around on Sunday.nWe ate at the hotel on Saturday evening which was lovely and a very reasonable price. The included breakfast was also excellent.nHighly recommended.
A Lucky Find in Ely!nnWhat a lucky accident! Passing near Ely on a Sunday and in need of a late lunch, we tried booking several places with no luck. On a whim, we stopped at The Lamb Hotel, and thankfully, they had a table available.nnWe were offered a lovely lunch menu with an excellent selection — everything from pub classics to a traditional roast with all the trimmings. We were a little late, so the turkey had run out, but what we did have was delicious.nnLesley, our server, was just wonderful — warm, friendly, and attentive. She would be a reason to return all on her own, alongside the great food. The house red, a Cabernet Sauvignon, was excellent.nnParking was easy, with plenty of spaces including several for disabled visitors. The location is ideal — only about 150m from one of England’s most beautiful cathedrals.nnA thoroughly enjoyable meal and a happy discovery — we’ll definitely be back!
The staff were amazing. Room was what we expected for the price. But the food. The food was so good. We ended up only eating at here during our stay. The lamb shank was so outstanding, literally the best food I've had and the pies were to die for.
We really love this special place. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Food is phenomenal, breakfast not to be missed. Want to thank Lesley, Sharon, and Gina especially for being so kind. Rooms have character and its a great experience overall. Spotlessly clean and quiet, never heard the pub downstairs at night. We will be back for sure. Best place to stay in Ely. Right next to the shopping and Cathedral. 5 stars!!!!!
Popped into The Lamb for lunch today and chose the award winning steak and ale pie with buttered mash. Love a cheeky pie as a treat and this has to be one of the best and I've had a few. The Lamb team were so friendly and polite, the atmosphere was relaxing and food excellent value for money. Simply lovely.
