Awesome place to come for a swim with the kids it's always clean and staff are always professional and polite and the view out on the deck is lovely as long as you don't get locked out there
Love the place. Could do with a steam room and / or sauna, otherwise top facilities.
The pool, gym, and staff all 1st class. It is reasonably priced, especially if you take advantage of the EASE card program.
We joined on a six week offer to use the gym and pool. It's been fantastic. The equipment installed in the gym is excellent. The screens help track your workout and my son loves watching YouTube videos while working on his fitness. Absolutely brilliant! It's not a huge room so doesn't feel daunting and the high ceiling is great for a feeling of space. The staff in the gym are extremely helpful and really nice people. The staff on the front desk have been lovely to us. What a great team! The pool is great! Highly recommended!
This is a very good sports and swimming facility. The gym is first class with loads of options and space to work out. The changing rooms are ok but the gents showers could be better, but they do the basics. The pool is big and easily accessible with the small pool being the same. The staff are their biggest asset.
Took my 5year old daughter her for a change Exact same layout as hadrian leisure centre
A lovely swimming pool and reasonably friendly staff. Pool is warm enough so not to start shivering, small pool could be a little warmer though. Communal showers and it would have been nicer to have separate ones. Luckily the toilets are not communal and are clean. Changing cubicles are secure but people enter the changing area without removing their outdoor shoes. Beware of the overzealous parking wardens that seem to lack intelligence or have absolutely no common sense when it comes to longer vehicles using the council authority carpark. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
It's a really nice leisure centre to go to , it's clean , staff on the front desk are helpful and friendly , I signed my daughter up to the swim pass over the summer holidays and we mainly used it here ,it's been great, my daughter and her boyfriend have really enjoyed coming here over the past 6 weeks, we used the pool before hand but the swimming pass just gave my daughter more reasons to go especially over the summer holidays when there nothing else to do . Great swimming pool for all , definitely our favourite pool to go to , not massively busy either so lots room in the pool , there is a smaller pool too , but we just use the bigger one , but great for smaller children. We are yet to use any of the other facilities here so can't comment on the gym or the soft play but apart from that everything else is really good compared to other leisure centre in Northumberland.
Excellent facilities, gym, swimming pool and also multi use courts. Suitable for kids parties with bouncy castle on site. Nice friendly staff.
Regular user of the Gym and Pool. The gym equipment is reasonably decent and with some good variety though at times can feel a little unsecure. The upstairs changing rooms upon my last visit were in a rough state, with a lot of changing benches marked with tape as they were falling apart. The pool is a good size, and at first glance all appears to be well. The main issues I've experienced is with the lack of enforcement of poor behaviour. Kids launching balls into the swimming lanes/throwing diving darts at people, making obscene gestures through the glass at other swimmers including young girls. I've experienced a child dive bombing into my swimming path and hitting me. The lifeguards on duty just don't care. The price per visit is fair, but to my knowledge you have no option to pay for just a gym session without paying for the inclusive the pool use.
