Independent Cafe/Restaurant, located in the depths of Roundhay Park, serving you wonderful coffee and delightful food. Overwhelm yourself in the sheer beauty of it all.

You can join us every day of the week, whether it be a quick stop off whilst walking the dog, or a top notch lunch, with a delicious cake and beautiful latte for afters. We have something to offer your every need.

Family friendly, and easily accessible, The Lakeside offers you a unique experience. The ideal location to enjoy Waterloo Lake through every season. Through our recent refurbishments there is something for everyone. Whether it be a comfy lounge-like sofa in the conservatory or a heated patio with its very own canope, you can be sure to feel very welcome.

A great place to relax in the morning before or after your walk in the park. Great view and good coffee and food.
Covid safe place to meet up with friends and family. Good choice of hot meals and delicious cakes. A good place to sit and look out over the lake after a day out in the park.
I have been here 2 or 3 times roughly. Great choice of desserts including the amazing lemon drizzle cake. The egg mayo sandwiches are another amazing choice. The balcony has an amazing look of the lake. I had my lunch last year on it. Great Customer service and friendly service.
Greeted by a polite young man who took our details and checked our temperature. Popped in for a quick drink. Well spaced and clean. Toilet facilities were open to the customers. Great view of the lake from the balcony. Worth a visit just to stroll around the park.
A creamy cappuccino was much welcomed after a bracing walk round the park and lake. Seating was well spaced out and the staff were pleasant and efficient. Will return another day!
Good service, great food, toilets open!
Lovely cafe. Everything adhered to, one way system, social distancing, temperature check before you enter. Had the 8oz burger and chips, with a cola. Food was tasty and hot. Can't recommend more.
Staff coping well with restrictions. Lacking in the 'homely' feel but because of distancing restrictions but staff welcoming, efficient and friendly and food tasty.
