Went to the kings arms earlier today and upon entering we were met with warm smiles and amazing customer service. The building itself has beautiful decor and a rustic vibe which really complimented the overall aesthetic. Outside there was a large sitting area, plenty of benches and a cover over the top for people to enjoy being outside without the fear of being rained on. The service was incredibly quick and the food was amazing! I ordered the gammon and chips, my partner ordered the breakfast burger. The 2 meals were amazingly priced for what we got. The plates were full and the quality of the food we got could only be described as 5 star. Me and my partner are going to book overnight accommodation within the next few weeks as we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the kings arms! Thank you to the chef for the amazing food! And thank you to the owner and rest of the team for running such a fantastic establishment! 5 stars All day!!!
We attended for a short break over the weekend and I cannot recommend The Kings Arms Hotel enough!! We were greeted by fantastic and helpful staff, shown to our clean and beautifully decorated room and told where we could find everything.nnService for food and drinks was absolutely amazing too, all of the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, in all honesty we’ve never had service like it, really top tier. All of our needs were tended to and the breakfast selection is 10/10. We’ll definitely be booking again. Thanks so much!!
We have a long and happy history with this place through various landlord. It’s a nice, homely and traditional pub but not spit and sawdust. I call it ‘our spiritual home’ .nnHad an amazing meal here tonight, the best food out we had have had in ages. We feel it’s great value for money because the new menu, which we had the pleasure of tasting last week, is exceptional!nnHighly recommended!

Beautiful old hotel 16 century?nBrogan and her partner are lovely, friendly and both go out of their way to make sure that you are happy and attended to.nRooms are really clean and warm.nBreakfast is fantastic, everything is fresh and cooked just as you like it.nEvening meal is cozy, the menu simple but wholesome.nI cannot fault anything about the place, the service, the food or the staff.nReally enjoyed our 3 nights stay
A very good family friendly hotel. We had a family room which consisted of two connected rooms with a double and two single beds. The bathroom was a good size. It's an old pub so walls, floors and stairs are all uneven with exposed pipework appearing and disappearing randomly and doors that are all different shapes and sizes which adds to character. Having said that the decor in the rooms and communal tea and coffee areas would benefit from a facelift. It feels like the rooms are a bit of a sideline as I think we were the only people staying on a Friday night. Everything was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the bar/restaurant area were quirky. Good atmosphere with mostly locals who again were very friendly. We chose this over a more expensive Premier Inn as it felt like you were putting money into the local economy versus some faceless corporate machine. I was judging this as a 3 star hotel. It deserves 4 stars and with small improvements to decor would have got 5.
