We visited so we could meet up as a family of six. My daughter drove from Sheffield and we drove from Warrington. It is a very pleasant venue and the decor is in good condition. The staff were friendly and helpful. Tables are normally booked for 2 hours but we explained, when we booked, that this was a family reunion so they extended our time. We stayed for nearly 4 hours. The food was very tasty and was well presented. As well as the usual main menu, they do a lunch menu and also have a children and young adults menu. There is plenty of parking and some disabled parking. There are steps at the front door. I did not see a disabled entrance but there may be one. Toilets are upstairs but not sure about a disabled one. We would definitely visit again when we are in the area.
It's been a month to the day since our wedding. In truth it has taken me this long to put into words how perfect our day was. But lets start with before the wedding. Elise, the events manager at the Joshua Bradley and Bluebell suite is fantastic at absolutely everything. She steered us in the right direction in terms of food and drinks package. She made sure we knew absolutely everything about how the day would run to our chosen time frames. Then the day of truth arrived. Elise coordinated the day to perfection. literally not a single hitch on our day! She was always on hand to make sure I knew what was next and to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. She even walked one of our flower girls down the isle when she got stage fright <3! Next the staff. Every single member of staff were fabulous in every single way. They were so helpful and ready to take direction from my maid of honour with my particular change requirements for the evening. They helped make our day so intimate, friendly and fun. They even got involved with a little competition in the evening to get an oops upside the head record! The look of the bluebell suite is romantic and rustic, which was perfect for our rustic themed wedding. The hay loft was stunning for our ceremony with minimal decoration. The actually bluebell suite was absolutely stunning again with minimal decoration outside of the usual centrepieces. The food for our wedding breakfast was absolutely delicious! And the portions were brilliant for even the biggest appetites. Our days guest struggled to eat at the evening reception they were that stuffed from the day! The bridal suite was a lovely little touch that we got as part of our package. it meant we had a 1 minute trip around the corner to our very own 4 poster bed and en suite and whirlpool bath to finish the day off! Just when you think it can't get even more perfect we had a beautiful fruit and pastry breakfast served at 9am on the dot. I literally don't have a single bad word to say about a single thing. I would do every single thing exactly as we did it over and over! If your looking for a venue with the whole package this is the place to hold your wedding!
Don't live too far away but have never eaten there...I have been missing out!!. Food and service was excellent. Had the Sunday lunch sharing platter for 2...could have easily fed a family of 4...staff even boxed up our leftovers so had another roast dinner the day after. Definitely be visiting again soon
We got married here in July 2022 and would highly recommend as a wedding venue. The entire Bluebell Suite and its outdoor area has been recently decorated and it looked great on the day. We had meetings at set milestones and a dedicated contact for all queries, who then also made sure everything ran smoothly on the day and evening. The food and drink choices were clear and we could mix and match packages to suit us. The food was exceptional all day, as was the service. All in all a great combination to make it the perfect, stress-free wedding for us.
Very nice place to have a drink, alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks, big terrace nicely arranged and big playground for children. The conservatory and the bar are both beautifully decorated for meals and drinks.
Amazing pub, all staff friendly and very helpful. Have had a couple of meals here and never disappointed. Great selection of food would recommend the searing roast for 2 great value for money. Have never seen a portion of pie like the 3 cheese and onion . Portion size is good service quick and food very tasty.
We celebrated our wedding at the bluebell suite and it was a fantastic day. We thought the event was planned well, and the food was outstanding and was a high point for not only us, but also our guests, including the night buffet which was plentyful. The venue space for the ceremony is personal and provides the right atmosphere and the downstairs provides a good and fun area for the night reception. We couldn't fault anything from the space, to food,drinks and the event staff and waiters/waitresses. We would recommend anyone to get married here. 5*
Absolutely faultless, the food was amazing, very reasonably priced. The pasta Linguini was incredible, not overpowers but full of Flavour. And my Mum said the steak was the best steak she had in her life, Highly recommend!!
Warm and friendly welcome from the staff here at The Joshua Bradley, plenty of seating indoors and out. The pricing of the drinks was reasonable and service was efficient. I would certainly visit again and try the food menu as from what I saw it looked amazing. The Bluebell Suite had a well staffed bar area and space indoors and out for the wedding reception that I attended. It was well positioned and decorated for the occasion. Should you need a room/venue for hire this could be a good option as it is well situated between various places of you have guests coming from different areas of the Stockport and Hyde regions. Visited the Joshua Bradley again as a couple and had a lovely sharing roast dinner platter for 2 and it was amazing, good choice of meats and variety of vegetables. Highly recommend visiting for a night off cooking.
There were eight at our table with all the food beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. We found the venue to be spotless and in excellent repair. There was no doubt the professional, friendly staff were all about providing an exemplary customer service.
