We were in the area so decided to make a visit here. My 9 yr old loved it as much as me. Lovely village highstreet and lots of great shops and eateries. Views are spectacular, and the architecture is wonderful. The bridge itself is great and has access by foot only. Footpaths at various levels give you many perspective views of the bridges structure and beautiful local buildings.
Amazing location, inspiring history and beautiful scenery. Plenty of parking spaces on either side of the bridge. The bridge itself is lovely. Situated in a beautiful town with cafes, restaurants and stores. A museum filled with interesting information. Peaceful walks on the banks of Severn. 100% worth a visit.
Great location and a truly remarkable piece of engineering for the time of construction, plus being a worlds first of it's kind. Not only an iconic landmark, it's a real good place to visit and walk around. There's some cool little shops including a rather good tea room, along with some quirky shops selling everything from toys to antiques. A nice place to appreciate some fresh air and a bit of British heritage in a lovely spot, along side the beautiful River Seven. Another good thing about this place is than, less than a mile and a half is the Coalbrookdale museum that gives more information about the bridge and where all the 380 tonnes of iron for the bridge was produced.
Such a lovely village and well worth the trip. The bridge still looks fantastic even after all these years. Plenty of places for food & drink and everything is within a walkable distance. Highly recommend visiting!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A really quiet beautiful place full of coffee shops and restaurants. Very quaint. The car parks are nearly a mile away so a long walk to the bridge. Not suitable for disabled people unless you can park on the yellow lines in the town itself. Once there time passes with ease as it a lovely place.
Absolutely brilliant day out for all. A lot of history to be discovered and a beautiful town to explore. Friendly staff and welcoming feel. Went for a walk along the river, visited the bridge and tollhouse and explored the village. Will be visiting again soon!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Beautiful town lots of quirky pubs to have lunch or just a drink. Great place for a pub crawl if your not driving. Car parks easy access and only £4.00 the day will definitely revisit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
What a beautiful area to visit we had the glorious sunshine and were able to enjoy a walk down the river. Stopping off for a drink then a visiting a few of the quirky shops before sitting and having a chippy which had a outdoor seating area to look at the views.
Ironbridge is such a beautiful place. Lots of lovely little natty shops and things to see. Worth a visit. Free to go into the toll house and across the bridge. Just need to oay for parking which was £3 for up to 2 hoursVisited onWeekday
Labelled, rightly or wrongly, as the "Birthplace of the Industrial Revolution" Ironbridge and its ‘Iron bridge’ is a stunning little county town with a cute high Street, lovely shops, pubs and cafes, a sprinkling of good museums and of course the bridge itself. The latter being the first fabricated from cast iron. It’s a grand beautiful architectural statement from bygone days and well worth a visit!
