Lovely county pub and great for dogs. There is a large garden, lake and river out the back, perfect in the sunshine or, like us, a walk in the snow with the dog! The wood fires were very welcomed and the Sunday roast a good size and tasty. Polite staff. I'll definitely be looking to go back now spring has arrive.

While the side room was nice and quiet, it was rather cold. The food was decent, though a little basic. Children's menu seemed pricey but they were quite large, so worth the price. Too much for my 4 year old though. We had to wait too long for service, and frequently found it difficult to get hold of the staff. Still, we had a nice time and it's a lovely place.

Stayed for a couple of days just after Christmas. Lovely room and good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Had good directions when walking in countryside and also when driving to Cirencester. Would come back for another stay.

Beautiful pub, roaring fires. The owners were very friendly. Good beer and wine. Only reason it's 4 stars is because the food could definitely be taken up a notch. That said, you know what you're going to get from the menu - decent food, nothing fancy. Puddings probably aren't home made.

The food was excellent, we had the roast beef and I've never had so much meat or so tender. We were put in the back room and it was a little cold. You really need to reserve a table here (at least for Sunday lunch).
