My beautiful Bengal went hyperthyroid and the wait for radioactive iodine treatment near me was 3 months. The hyperthyroid Cat Centre were amazing. They got her in and treated last week and her blood results, back yesterday, showed she is cured already. The staff there are friendly and professional. Great service from beginning to end. It was worth travelling so far for such good treatment. Highly recommended.
My cat Sparky had his treatment in August. At his last check up he is doing so well. Cant thank staff enough ,with daily progress phone calls which is so comforting when they are away from you and they are always at the end of the phone for any queries I have ,
If I based this review on the care at the time of the treatment it would have been a five but they let themselves down badly on the follow ups on the blood tests. It took two weeks for the results of the monthly one and I have now waited nearly 3 weeks and still not had the results of the 3 month blood test. You at a lot for this service and if I had the bloods done by my own vet I would get them the day after the test if not the same day. It makes me feel that once they have had the money from you they are not interested in the follow up as you are only paying the lab fee.nIt is a shame they can’t improve what was an otherwise brilliant service and support
About 6 and a half years ago, when Casper developed hyperthyroidism, the medicines didn't work for him at all, and he was rapidly losing weight.nnWhen I called with desperation,nthe manager, Amanda, was so kind and explained about RAI treatment. At the time, nearly 600 cats had been treated, and the success rate was nearly 100%, so I decided to give it a try. Now they leached 3000 patients.nnEveryone of the team was so kind and respectful. While Casper in the centre, they called me every day for the update. I would recommend the centre to every patients.
My cat has an overactive thyroid, so she is being treated here by the kindness cat lovers. And hopefully when she has her next blood tests in 3 weeks, she will be cured.
