This place is terrible. Went for a friend's 21st birthday and the place was tiny. They let way too many people in so you can't even move whilst you're dancing. Music advertised was false and the shots are £7. I'm a student but that is steep just for one vodka shot. Possibly the unfriendliest group of people I've encountered on a night out. People were more interested in causing drama than enjoying themselves in this. Music was good in some retrospect but don't be surprised if you're dancing with your feet glued to one spot. Quite a small place as well so would avoid for big groups.

The staff and door supervisors were really friendly! We went to the RNB and Hip Hop night. We arrived and was seen to our reserved area no fuss no attitude.. we all had a great night and couldn't have asked for a more friendly crowd of people. My friends and I will definitely be visiting again

Had our Christmas party there. Not amazing music.. the cocktails are too sweet. They have the offer of 2 for 1 on mojitos so possibly a place to go before going out out. The downstairs floor is a bit weird too.. but looks like most places around that area of London.

My 2nd and last bad night at the Hoxton Pony... This time a friend wanted an area for a large group for his birthday; he had never been before. We had two tables with small reserved signs on. I arrived at 7.45 and there was already an argument breaking out over people sitting in the reserved area. Within 15 minutes another group of drunk women sat in our reserved area again and refused to move. It was 8pm by this point and they were very drunk. They still refused to move after a member of staff spoke to them. They reluctantly moved and then proceeded to start a fight with another group and got kicked out. This was no later than 8.30.pm. The atmosphere was terrible, the drinks were average and the toilets were disgusting. I can only imagine that consuming a large quantity of alcohol helps to make this bar less horrible. There are so many better places in Shoreditch; seek them out.

Very rude bouncers, we didnt even get the chance to get in we waited more then an hour outside freezing, when we got at the door the bouncer sayd that we had to much to drink, but everybody that was with me was fine so when we asked to speak to the manager while recording the whole thing, one of the bouncers snached my phone from my hands twice and threaten to smash my phone.... this is madness!! I would give this place a big fat 0.....
