We came here for my sisters birthday and it was a brilliant meal. The venue is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. All of the staff we spoke with were lovely from the door host and servers to the bar staff. Our servers Anne and Grace were amazing and able to answer any questions we had and gave great knowledge of the menu and drinks. We had plenty of time to enjoy our food and we're not pestered every few minutes but we taken care of very well with check backs and drink orders being taken frequently enough to cause no issues for the great service we received. I honestly am looking forward to going back to try some of the other items on the menu as the ribs were supper succulent and the bones just fell off with no resistance and the pie was amazing with a beautiful creamy sauce with a hint of tarragon and the actual pie casing was just as nice and sweet.
Had such a good time, great atmosphere and good food! Service was really friendly. Portion size was massive and I thought I was back in America. Not too expensive either. Cocktails and cocktails are available.
Beautiful pub which is dog-friendly! Great menu and nice carvery. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Car park was full but parking is easy on nearby side streets. Lovely visit - would certainly visit again!
I was really excited to try the burgers here as I had seen recent reviews on the burgers being lovely. The burger meat itself was seasoned well, but the bread was so stale it was falling apart. I ended up giving up with the bread. Another 4 people on my table had burgers and also stale bread. Also the coleslaw looked like it had been left outside for a while so I didn’t eat it. The chips where AMAZING tho, and the cheese balls also very tasty! The staff where polite and friendly, just disappointed with getting served stage bread. I will come back for the cheese balls and chips

Walked in for a quick lunch. Greeted with a smile and was sat down quickly. I had a sausage and mash and my husband had a venison casserole. We had a chicken satay to share. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge! A very agreeable lunch on a cold winter's day. Our first time at this pub, won't be our last!
Had dinner here last night. Very good service indeed friendly and knowledgeable and the quality of the food was great...the salmon was delicious and the steaks cooked to perfection. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars was the starters bar nibbles were a little small for the price, but otherwise no complaints whatsoever.
We went there yesterday for late lunch with our 2 black labs. We had our meal in a heated Pod. No. 1. The food and the service was excellent
Had Christmas meal part of a group of 16. On the whole the food was good, though the soup was just warm, sent back to be heated and came back still barely warm. Presumably inexperienced waitresses not trained/directed to attend to table sufficiently. Restaurant wasn't very busy on a Friday evening in December.
First time at this Pub last night after meeting up with great friends and we were not disappointed at all. Lovely staff and Pub abd our food was fab. Didn't feel rushed and when asked about desserts, your staff were very helpful. Will definitely be back again when back in England, now we are living in Wales. Thank you.
