lovely quiet library with natural lighting, the architecture is beautiful both the interior and exterior!! really nice views across worcester from the top floor. the staff were helpful and friendly - they have a cafe on the bottom floor to fill water bottles. the wifi is quick and there are good toilet facilities too. great space for students to study as it was considerably quiet - this may have been due to the fact i visited on a bank holiday. but they are also usually open quiet late too - great for students !!
Excellent public library. Plenty of options for places to sit or work; big views from the window; online access and PCs. And, notably, long opening hours every day except bank holidays Library of Birmingham, which doesn't open until late morning and is shut all Sunday - take note. Will be back.
Staff not knowledgeable in regards to books or computers someone asked where the Charles dickens books might be and the member of staff replied is that fiction or non fiction I mean come on I would imagine that the hiring process has no focus on literacy or computer knowledge and rather concentrates on their ability to entertain kids, like it's a nursery job or something also the disparity between amount of women who work there compared to men is actionable, would love to see some figures.
I have been coming here during my GCSE’s Alevels and during university. It’s a great library with lots of very useful resources. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. There are so many different levels from group study areas to silent study. They have also started doing study breaks for students where they offer complimentary hot drinks and biscuits for students to take study breaks which I found useful.
I wanted to do some printing, as soon as I entered the building the whole print system went down. Despite this they were determined that would not get in the way of me getting my printing done. It took a little while but they worked with what they had and I left with my copies in hand. Never say die attitude, awesome!
