Stayed here for 1 night, as had a wedding at Merrydale manor. Fantastic stay, room immaculate. Great host, very helpful, even arranged a taxi to the wedding for us. Beautiful breakfast. Would definitely stay again Rooms: 5/5

This was our second time staying here and once again it didn’t disappoint. Ridiculously comfortable beds and amazing service from Ann. A very comfortable guest house in a lovely quiet village location. The lady running the house is very warm and welcoming and the room we had was very clean and smart and was perfect for our stay. We would have chosen to stay longer if it were not for catching a flight from Manchester Airport. Manchester Airport is only about 20 minutes drive away. I would recommend this accommodation.

Great place to stay, Ann was very nice and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. My partner was very grateful for the little additions in the room like make up removal wipes! Would highly recommendRooms: 5/5

Friendly and welcoming greeting from Anne the proprietor. The room was clean and well presented with all our requirements.  We had a lovely garden view and the bed is so comfortable,  it was a restful sleep. Great breakfast pre-ordered served by Anne with a smile as always. We keep returning as you are made to feel welcome and your custom valued, thank you Anne.

ONWORD, I've stayed in Hotels that weren't a patch on the Hilton Guest House. Not only was it spotlessly clean, there was  everything there, too lovely thick laundered dressing gowns and slippers in your room. To Tea, Coffee water. Shower caps shoe shining kit etc.  The Host is lovely, she runs the Guesthouse herself  and what a testimony it is too her. The breakfast was fab, nothing too much trouble. And all at a very reasonable price. Very comfy bed too.

I would recommend for one night, but nothing more.  We stayed in room 1, which was very small, but comfortable.  The house is very dated, which isn't a big deal, the reason for my 3 star review is because of the cleanliness. There were hairs dotted around the sink, shower and toilet when we checked in. The toilet seat itself was quite dirty in the groves, not to mention the toilet brush next to it   The breakfast was okay. Nothing special unfortunately, especially if you're vegetarian.  I'm also not sure using covid as a reason to not turn over rooms is acceptable anymore, especially when the price of the room is still the same.  Service was good and very friendly.

Five of us stayed here and it was absolutely amazing. The hostess is friendly and nothing is too much trouble, fantastic breakfast and the place is immaculate and cosy Also a ten minute walk away is a couple of beautiful restaurants /pubs with amazing food. Will definitely be back in the near future just fir a night away.Rooms: 5/5
