Lovely place! Their food is excellent as well as their services . I've been there many times, tried most of the dishes and deserts and definitely I will continue to go. I highly recommend this place if you fancy a delicious lunch/dinner and quality time with friends/ family.
This is a hidden gem. Really impressed with the quality of the service and food today. Celebrating my wife's birthday and the team made it special. Thank you. Even made the dog welcome! We will be back again. It was a wonderful discovery!
Great environment with great food. The only thing that we felt wasn't as nice is the pressure we felt from 9h30pm to rush through the food we were eating. The first waiter was amazing but they swapped and we felt a bit pushed out of the restaurant which wasn't perfect but seriously the rest was awesome.
We had a wonderful family celebration meal at The Highwayman on 20th August. The food was all really delicious and beautifully presented. They have a talented chef and kitchen team. I was very impressed by the quality of the children’s meals and the care taken to cater for those with specific dietary needs. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their lunch. The front of house staff were very efficient, friendly and super organised. The new garden terrace is lovely and the function room is light and spacious. Altogether excellent.
We dropped in for a drink after a thirsty walk. Nice cosy place with a very smart terrace at the back. Lovely views over the field opposite. The staff were very friendly and we've made a note to come back for a meal.
Delicious Sunday dinner. staff incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. A bit on the expensive side but maybe I haven't got my head around current price rises everywhere yet . 10 out of 10 for your staff.
We visited this great pub with a large group of friends for a pre-Christmas meal. The welcome was warm and the food outstanding: really delicious and generous portions. Highly recommended!
We visited following a funeral. A buffet had been arranged, with home-made sausage roll and a good choice of sandwich fillings, followed by cake. The room was perfect for the gathering.Food: 5/5
Superb, came down from london, a la carte selections. Dauphinoise thinly layered rocked with a deep red wine jus and ducks breast with braised red cabbage,. Cured beetroot salmon starter, eton mess with tarte berry jus to finish. Could not fault it, worth paying that little extra for this masterclass. Will revisit and recommend totally.
Accomodating, friendly and efficient staff. A good choice of well kept local ales and excellent food in a classy, historic pubFood: 5/5
