A lovely, family day out! Everything is clean and well kept and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Caverns, Cable cars and play areas are great fun. Be aware, some steep hills and steps to walk once you’re at the hilltop. Something a little different to the norm and our children had a great time! Would recommend for a fun day out.
I visited with my family on a weekend, and we had a fantastic time. Just a heads-up—parking primarily requires cash, so it's a good idea to have some coins on hand. The caverns, cable car ride, and tower views were all exhilarating and definitely worth the visit. We spent about 4-5 hours enjoying all the activities, and the wait times for the cavern tours weren't too long. The area is pet-friendly and there are decent dining options are available as well. Overall, it was a great experience!
I visited with my family, under 5 is free and if you Book online you save a couple of pounds . Paid parking Approx 5 pounds for 4 hours and paybyphone option available. Cable car is definitely the highlight of the attraction, kids love it and even for Adults it's a refreshing experience. I would recommend finishing the Cave tour and muppet show because they both are exhibited on timing basis . If you can't walk , are claustrophobic, heart issues etc ...they don't recommend you for a cave tour . Overall it's a good day out and you can for occupy both kids and adults
A very good place to visit for the entire family .book your tickets in advance .you can use blue light card for discount . Arrived early to near by parking as they fill quickly .cash only .or use pay by phone app . Once parked short walk to cable car station . Ride in cable car 3 min to top . On arrival you will see visitor info and welcome . A cafe behind it .an ice cream shop nearby . There are caverns visits with guide, heritage centre with history , a separate facility for the costumes worn in old times , kids play areas, a portable shack for snacks. Plenty of walking , wear good comfortable shoes , bring water . Cafe is slightly expensive but can be avoided if you bring your own food can eat in play areas and picnic spots. Return down by cable car again to exit.you won't regret the visit .
"Height of Abrahams" is a hidden gem, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and nostalgic entertainment. The caves are truly a marvel, with their intricate formations and rich history, providing an exciting exploration opportunity for visitors of all ages. Wandering through the cool, dimly lit passages feels like stepping back in time, and the guides do an excellent job of bringing the stories of the caves to life. The Punch and Judy Show is a delightful surprise, evoking a sense of childhood wonder and classic British seaside culture and a perfect mix of humour and tradition that keeps both kids and adults entertained. It's rare to find such a charming blend of nature and traditional entertainment in one place. Overall, "Height of Abrahams" offers an unforgettable experience that beautifully combines the thrill of cave exploration with the joy of timeless performance art.
I would suggest you reach early, do the "High Tor" hike and then take cable car to the heights. We book an hour in advance and then took the cable car. We had a nice sunny day, with very pleasant wind. The kids took to the play area like fish to water. Gave me some time to photograph the lovely views around. We went to the upper cave first and then the lower cave. The guides were wonderful, informative and humorous. The caves passages are tiny and wet. My toddler slept midway and it took extra care to take him out without bumping into the walls. Please take light jackets along as the caves are chilly even on a warm day. The view from the restaurant is wonderful and must b seen. Overall we spent 5 hours there, had a wonderful time. It burnt a hole in the pocket, first time kids sat in a cable car. Their enjoyment made it worth the expense.
All the car parks during holiday seasons were full and we had to walk 20 minutes to get there once we finally found a space somewhere else so make sure to plan in advance. Even though we arrived later than the arrival time we selected for our tickets they still let us on of course. There were no problems at all and all very helpful staff cable car trip to the top last about 5 minutes in total. They tell you in advance that the cable car will stop at the top for about a minute so people can take pictures and take in the view. There’s loads to do at the top and you could spend about 4 or 5 up there. The best attraction is the Great Masson Cave tour.
What an amazing experience. Coming from the flatlands of East Anglia we were in complete awe of the surrounding landscape! Access to the attraction was up a cable car, which was an experience itself! Once off though the views are absolutely stunning. The period actors were fantastic and all the staff and guides were very helpful and welcoming. Will definitely be returning!
Excellent Cable car journey to site back and forth, enjoyed guided tour to cave. Stunning view from top hill. Excellent restaurant VISTA serves delicious food, the quality, variety, portion just wonderful. Highly recommended.
Book in advance to advance to save about £2. Hate these practises. For the price of £26 you get a ticket up and down and a for view from the top. There's a tower you can climb up if you don't mind few stairs. And you get tours of 2 caverns and a single guided tour. Some gift shops there, a coffee/ restaurant shop. A small rock exposition and a very tiny costume museum. Expect to spend at least 3 hours there, loads of things to see. Although, good weather is highly recommended. Rain is ok, but the fog/mist wasn't. Also after getting off the cable car, there's a welcoming guide to tell you where to go.
