We had an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon . Restaurant wasn’t too busy! The service and food was really nice. The skewers were really tasty. Party of 6 and we thought this great value. Will return
Very helpful staff and a lovely recently renovated hotel. We had a lovely stay and a very nice dinner. We asked for two different whiskeys to taste and were not disappointed, very nice. The room was nice and quiet, very comfortable bed.
Had a great stay at the Hawes. Beautiful old building and the bar & restaurant area, although a large space, is cleverly designed and manages to achieve a cosy feel. The food in the restaurant is really excellent. Especially the desserts! The staff are friendly & the rooms are very comfortable & spotlessly clean. Not the first stay in the Hawes & definitely won't be the last. Highly recommended
Just had dinner at the new-and-improved Hawes Inn and what a transformation. I enjoyed previous visits only 2 sadly due to the pandemic but the makeover has given this place a whole new lease of life. The staff are so friendly and upbeat, the food is exceptional and the decor is a perfect mix of heritage meets contemporary not the best pic but I was too busy having a nice time to take more!. Seeing this kind of investment in Scotland’s historic venues makes me so happy and proud - I wish more would/could follow suit. Huge congratulations to the whole team for making this happen. We’re already looking forward to coming back. :
Visited with my partner and our 12 week old baby. We had booked a table and were given a choice of a couple of tables which was nice so our pram wasn't in the way. Great menu and the food was lovely. Staff were nice but seemed a bit understaffed as we didn't see our waitress much. We waited about 30 minutes to order dessert but she didn't come back so we went up to pay instead. Would still go back though.
We stop by base on amount of high reverw on website. Very impressed with the service and of course the meals were delicious and big plates. Definitely we going back
Never been disappointed with our visits here. The food is always perfect. The servers are polite, prompt and well presented. There is a car park to the rear but do register your car number plate inside as this is run by a private parking company, this allows you to park free of charge whilst eating or staying at the Inn..
Had an lovely afternoon meal here. Food was absolutely fantastic! Seabass cooked to perfection! Relaxing atmosphere, lovely decor and fantastic staff with Great service. Would highly recommend!
I‘m a big fan of the hawes inn! The room was so big and everything was clean. We had a view to the red bridge right in front of the hotel. The staff was very friendly. Sadly we had just two nights there.
We didn't get a chance to stay at the Inn but we did go to the pub for a late lunch. Situated right across from the water. You have an amazing view of the Firth of Forth bridge when seated at the windows. But even without the view, it's a great place for a pint and some food. Classic old style pub with wood beams and a fire place. Nice and cozy on a rainy day! We had the Tomato and Herb Arancini, The Cheese Board and the Fish and Chips. Everything was delicious! The selection of cheese that came with the cheese board was nice and the portions were generous. The Triple Cooked Chips were outrageously good and the fish was fresh and cooked well. The Arancini was also very good. Flavourful and I love beetroot. The service was great and friendly and they were busy!! Can't wait to visit again, Thank you for a lovely experience.
