Great atmosphere and ambiance. The service is really good too; warm and friendly staff. I found the food average and quite pricey for the quality you get, but I would still recommemd Parking: The parking lot has plenty of parking space and is free.
Booked a table for Sunday lunch, very busy and busy all afternoon in the summer. Outdoor area not large but lovely views over the marina from inside the restaurant. I had the Hake which was delicious but too small a portion of fish, I could’ve had another. Rather pricey for so small a plate. Steps only to enter the restaurant above the yacht club. Nice choices on the menu.
Haven Bar and Restaurant at the yacht club is a delightful waterfront gem that offers a perfect blend of great food and stunning views. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both casual lunches and special dinners.Food: 5/5
The ambience is next to none. The view of the marina is just gorgeous. The food, omg the food absolutely friggin GORGEOUS. I had the Cod Katsu & hats off to the chef. My Dad had the crayfish tail spaghetti & if I come again I am 100% having that. We sat outside at first & was just beautiful. Wish I lived closer, although I'd probably end up very poor as I would be in every night. Thank you Haven Bar & Restaurant.
My first breakfast here today. Started with a flat white coffee which tasted spot on. Was toying between various food options, was watching the plates being served to other tables loaded with toast. I went for the Haven full English... The place was busy so we had to wait for it but I prefer freshly cooked and that's what we got, but my plate was overflowing. Sausage n bacon, great quality, eggs x 2 perfect accompanied by beans, mushrooms and large tomatoes....I managed 1/2 of toast and the meal, but only just...I would normally have 2 small coffees but couldn't manage any more incoming.... Top marks, great service, our table front waterside was the best...wow.
Lovely place with very nice décor and a fantastic outside area / deck - imagine this is stunning in evening. The place is up a set of stairs not sure if there is accessible access - we only got coffees on a walk around the harbour / marina but they were very nice, lovely service and clean. it was just getting busy and had a nice atmosphere - is also dog friendly.
A fantastic lunch with a huge gluten free offering including the most heavenly gluten free bread. The bread was delicious and rivals the gluten free bread at Burj al Arab. The salmon platter with bread was delicious and had smoked salmon both cooked and raw. The horseradish sauce was sublime and subtle with great flavor addd by the green peppercorns and gherkins. A real treat. The tomato soup was a hearty bowl of excellently seasoned tomato soup with great bread. The camembert sharer is a generous portion and totally decadent. The lemon sorbet is also worth a mention, sweet and zesty beautifully balanced by the tongue curling sourness if fresh lemons. Only thing I would change is the inane television which I thought might have been on to cover the Olympics but was left on long afterwards. This unfortunately was a distraction not which no one was watching and detracted from the atmosphere and lowered the otherwise classy tone of the establishment. This aside we hope to be back to enjoy the fantastic fare in the near future.
First visit here. Lovely on the outside terrace with gorgeous view and even better sitting at a window seat in the restaurant. Best experience I've had in a long time. Lovely friendly staff. Food was superb. Well done. I gave it 5* for good reason. We ate mushroom risotto and cray fish linguine. Both amazingFood: 5/5
Great restaurant views of harbour and lovely food.Food: 5/5
Pretty poor as far as seafood restaurants go Oysters were nice Mains were quite bland but very large portions Fish wasn’t locally caught and staff were beyond clueless about any produce For £80 per person I think it’s well overpriced and the fact they don’t have a fresh catch of the day is a bit of a shocker
