The Hampshire Hog

About

The team behind iconic dining pub The Engineer in Primrose Hill came to Ravenscourt Park. The Hampshire Pub & Pantry opened in autumn 2011.

Story

The Engineer in Primrose Hill was taken over in 1994 by Abigail Osborne and Tamsin Olivier and paved the way for the 'Gastro-pub' as we know it. After 17 years this iconic North London institution it's lease expired and therefore reoccupied by its Landlords, Mitchells and Butlers.

Abigail and Tamsin then acquired The Ruby Grand and relaunched it as The Hampshire Hog Pub & Pantry in the autumn of 2011.

The Hog champions well sourced, seasonal british produce. This will be showcased on the seasonal changing of A La carte menus.

A well balanced selection of wines; cocktails; boutique spirits; excellent beer and real ales; imaginative soft drinks; Rare Tea Company organic tea and organic coffee from Coffee Plant complement the food perfectly, or provide drinkers with reliable or interesting choices.

"The Hampshire is a spacious, family run Garden, Restaurant, Bar and Shisha area serving delicious, authentic Indian food and a wide selection of drinks. Never made with artificial preservative, flavours or colouring. Vegan, vegetarian, halal and GF options available."

Incredible! Found on the off chance and couldn't fault it. Food was to the highest standard, beautifully presented and full of flavour. One of the best Indians I've ever had. Staff extremely friendly and tentative. Great atmosphere and a beautiful venue. Love the option of sitting in the garden. Very reasonable prices and great choice of food. Highly reccomend! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan and vegetarian options available
Have passed by this place many times and finally decided to try it with the family after a long day. What a treat it was - beautifully decorated and the ambience was lovely and warm. The family who own it were exceptionally welcoming and we had recommendations of what their own young children loved which was also a hit with ours. The fish wrapped in banana leaf was cooked to absolute perfection and everything else was delicious too. We’ll be back to try the outdoor courtyard when it’s warmer.
My family and I went to this Indian Restaurant for lunch. It was excellent and truly deserves five stars. The waiter Anwar did an excellent job and he deserves five stars. I loved the chicken curry, best I every had. I highly recommend going. The garlic naan bread excellent.
What used to be quite a grim pub has been transformed into a sleek bar with an impressive range of Indian food. It’s a premium place - reflected in the prices, which are slightly more expensive than your standard curry place. But the service is attentive, the decor lovely … and the food? Utterly delicious. And as a bonus, there is a really good outside seated area. So - a place for a treat!
Amazing, nothing less than praise for this place. We came by chance here and what looked like a regular pub turned out to be an Indian feast. We hadn’t booked but the place is so big that they can easily accommodate for any size. Food was super delicious, I highly recommend the lollipop chicken for starters alongside the okra fries. For mains we had a masala, a jalfrezi and a madras; all of which were amazing along with pilau rice and a bread basket. In my personal opinion the curries could be a touch spicier but I like my stuff very spicy. They also serve Indian Cobra beers. Staff were also very friendly and attentive, service super speedy. Loved the vibe and will definitely come back over the summer to check out the garden.
Amazing, thanks for our friend Stuart recommending this place. Food was super and delicious, I highly recommend the okra fries and the poppadoms to share. For mains we had chicken masala and chicken Biryani all of which were amazing along with pilau rice and a garlic bread basket. Staff were also very friendly. Loved the atmosphere definitely will come back again soon...
Wow, this place is fabulous. Authentic Indian food, excellent service and amazing decor. I can't recommend this place enough. If you want a relaxed atmosphere with delicious food and great service this is the place to come.
My friend booked this restaurant as it is local to her, we had a lovely meal. I have a food allergy and when we advised them the chef came to our table to advise what I could have and he also suggested some other options. We chose one of his opinions it was amazing . The food was amazing the staff were very attentive and friendly really good food, I would recommend this restaurant .
A pleasant meal with family. Staff were polite. Restaurant is abit stingy with sauces for the popadoms. I had to ask twice. Also on the pricey side but portions made up for that as there a good size. 3/5
Indian food was insanely tasty. best of both things London has to offer great Indian food and good drink selection. also many vegan and vegetarian options available
