Lovely seating and obviously been newly decorated, but lacks fresh flowers, pictures etc. Very stark and not welcoming.  Young barmaid/waitress was so friendly and gave us a warm welcome, but owner barely acknowledged us. The food was good and reasonably priced. We ate at lunch time. There were only five of us left having a coffee when owner rang the bell for 'time'. A friendly, 'Time to go ladies, we have to close now', would have been so much more polite. Instead we felt unwelcome on the way in and out, except for the lovely young lady behind the bar.

Tuesday lunch was excellent. Hot food, well presented.  Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely little pub. Very homely and friendly. They have a small room for private functions. The food is always good.

Really needs a refurbishment. 
The beer is always good. Visited twice for food, the first time I had one of the burgers which was excellent. The next visit I tried the mixed grill and was disappointed, it was overdone and the cuts of meat were smaller than expected. To be fair when I complained as I was paying they knocked some money off the bill. This was about a year ago.
