Modern and stylish salon with a friendly and helpful front desk team. The stylist who I was booked in with did not LISTEN to me regarding my style preference-she either didn’t listen or it was a control thing. I’m now stuck with hair that’s too short and very high maintenance styling wise-the opposite to what I asked for. I even provided images of my preferred style, which my hair was at the correct length for after a long time growing it. Heavy sales tactics were used by the stylist to buy an overpriced product which made my hair look dull. Not the best experience I’ve had. I now have less hair and even less trust in hairdressers as a result thanks to yet another scissor happy stylist :Service: Hairstyling
Modern salon with a great atmosphere. Amazing choice of complementary drinks. I enjoyed the head massage and the massage chair. Everything is very clean. Unfortunately it was very, very cold both times I visited. It was once in November and the second time in April. Both times I wore a very warm winter jumper. My appointments where both times after lunch and not in the early morning. I felt so cold that I had blue fingers and I started shivering. The first time I was in there for 2 hours, the second time for 4 hours. Customers sit there and can't keep themselves warm by working. The lady sitting next to me also started shivering after having had hair colour applied to her roots. I guess it's not a problem for people who only get a haircut. Twice I came out with the haircut I didn't want. Twice they simply cut my hair the way they were cut when I went in there the first time even though I had told them that I want a different style.
My wife has had her Hairdreams extensions fitted here on two occasions by Claire, who is a very experienced extensionist and does a superb job. She is totally focussed on client satisfaction and a combination of her skills and creativity guarantees a very pleasing end result. On the last visit and after fitting the extensions, it became apparent the following day that there was a quality issue with the hair curling treatment by the manufacturer. Claire managed the situation very professionally and efficiently resolved the problem to our complete satisfaction. All the staff at the Penarth studio are very friendly and hospitable and the salon has the feel of a very well organised business with motivated employees.
