It has been at the centre of artistic life in Blackpool for over 100 years and is now recognized as a leading contemporary visual arts venue in the northwest region with a growing national and international profile. It has been an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation for the past 8 years and holds Museums Accreditation status."

The building looked good from the outside. The space inside was great but I thought the installations were too weird, unimaginative, ugly or bland. There really wasn't enough to look at. It was a shame. I hope they get more art to exhibit soon. The man on the welcome desk was very nice and seemed to have a genuine interest in art which was great. Good luck Grundy Art Gallery. I'm sure local artists of the North West would be thrilled to exhibit.
Free entry to some amazing exhibitions. So much to delight and enthrall visitors. Make time also to enjoy the sumptuous architecture.
This is not the most famous place in Blackpool, but at least there is enthusiasm and honesty! Wish this place got a fillip and made it to the MUST SEE places in this touristy town in NW England.
I love visiting the Grundy when I come to Blackpool. That's always something interesting to see and it offers a calm interlude away from the Golden Mile

An art gallery that has an eclectic mix of free of charge exhibitions throughout the year. Friendly, knowledgeable staff & volunteers. It has a small gift shop.

Always worth popping in for a quick look. Beautiful building with changing exhibitions and a superb gift shop quite often with some excellent & unusual gifts, posters, books, Blackpool memorabilia etc. Check out Oi Doris Typewriter Artist!
