Very limited menu from the last time I visited so we ordered the specials. Pancakes were not as fluffy as I would liked. The service was quite slow as we were sitting outside. Excellent coffee though!

Had a great brunch at The Groundworks - enjoyed avocado and poached egg on sourdough with a flat white. The staff are very friendly and the Covid precautions put in place made me feel very safe. Overall a great place to meet friends and family for a catch up with delicious food options.
Visit here regularly, the brunch is great and staff are friendly. The coffee is great, every few weeks they do a popup burger restaurant called Cawsburger which is nice. A favourite among friends and family
I came to Hitchin a few years ago to visit a friend and was treated to the most memorable mushrooms on toast and coffee I’d ever had. I now live in Hitchin and Groundworks has become one of my favourite spots in town with the best coffee, the most welcoming staff and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit!
