It is always a pleasure to visit the Griffin. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the venue is beautiful and the food is always delicious. The staff are knowledgeable about what is on the menu and highlighting what exciting fresh local produce is being used. We now have experienced the lunch, dinner and Sunday roasts, and none have disappointed!
Had the perfect evening at the Griffin to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Service was brilliant and staff went out their way to throw in lots of special surprises to make it a really memorable occasion - the food was amazing too, with the waiters all recommending lovely wine pairings for each course. We will be back!!
I don't give 5 starts loosely, but The Griffin definitely deserves one! And it absolutely worth the drive from London. The food is on a league of its own. A menu comparable to one found in a Michelin starred restaurant. Dishes are creative, fresh and delicious! My congrats to the Chef. On top of the food the venue is super nice, and its staff is professional, warm and welcoming. I will definitely be back! I fully recommend The Griffin.
I think one of the best Sunday roasts on our travels. The food is tasty and nicely served. Loved the cucumber and buttermilk soup and the koftas were so good after having some really ordinary ones so far in England. We are planning a lunch or dinner before we leave the area.
From the moment we walked in, all the staff were a pleasure to speak with and made us feel so welcomed. Mains were stunning and very much a high end restaurant quality standard, desserts were to die for and I'm not a 'dessert' person. I've added a few pics but I don't think they do justice.. my thanks to ALL the Griffin team for making my Bday lunch such a memorable one. Look forward to joining you again soon
Stunning Sunday lunch. Cannot fault it in anyway from the warm friendly service to the food. I could have eaten 50 of the roast potatoes! We’ll definitely be back.
We don't give 5 star reviews lightly, but the Griffin deserves it. From its 1700 beautifully maintained interior to the Baked Baron Bigod pie you have to try it!. A 5 star experience. The chefs and customer service staff are to be commended
Reunited with Chef Mikey Seferynsky who landed here at this lovely refurbished boutique hotel after blowing us away five years ago at the Three Oaks in Gerrards Cross followed by a stint at Guy Ritchie’s Lore of the Land in Fitzrovia, where we enjoyed more of his creative use of superb ingredients, treated with the respect they deserve. I’m not going to describe all the food I enjoyed, but it was probably one of the best lunches I have had in a while, including the disappointing Hand & Flowers. We’re already booked for two weeks time for our anniversary and I’m really glad Chef is once more back in our ‘hood. Go before everyone else finds out! UPDATE: Returned for breakfast: very good full English!
Beautiful interior, fantastic and friendly service with down to earth staff, but most of all the most mouth watering and sensational food. The roast is the best roast dinner I have ever ever had, and iv had a lot of roasts! Mouth watering and an explosion of flavour with every bite! Fantastic cocktails too! I cannot wait to go back. Brought me a 'Happy Birthday' dessert over to the table too which was lovely. x
Superb dinner 10/10 for Cote de Boeuf, all the bits that came with it were outstanding in their own right. Relaxing decor . Great cocktails . Comprehensive wine list which is well looked after considering most wines are offered by the glass wines & Coravin used to keep them fresh. Service was prompt, slick and friendly. A great night out. A must try!!!
