This is a lovely pub and extremely welcoming. Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. I have several anaphylactic allergies and each time I have eaten here, they have always been super helpful, understanding and go the extra mile to ensure I can have something to eat. The food is superb. I highly recommend for anyone with dietary requirements or just someone who is looking for a lovely pub with great food! I can’t wait for my next meal from here!
Been here enough times to happily recommend to others. Worth noting I have not stayed in the rooms - I have visited for food and drinks only Food is excellent, there's a limited menu but that's usually a good sign. Traditional hearty pub meals on offer, you will finish feeling full and satisfied. Decor and atmosphere is spot on, whether you're sat by the open fire or in the conservatory there's lots to appreciate. Music tends to be acoustic covers; it made for a romantic evening with my partner. On our last visit, the music was cut around 21:00 which was a shame because it killed the atmosphere and it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Drinks on offer are a good variety with cocktails too, I always buy my partner a random cocktail before we leave... And When it came to leaving, we were full of good food and alcohol - another good night was had at Gregory Arms.
Great pub, good service. Making the food isn't the fastest, but it is good quality. The best stake I have ever had. Plenty of parking, real fireplace, dog friendly... What's not to like?
A very busy country pub. I wouldn't describe this as a "Village pub" despite being in a Village, it doesn't have that intimate ambience that some have. Food has always been excellent, we've never been disappointed. Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is we have, never consistently but maybe 5 times out of 40 visits, had bad / slow service. But on each of those occasions we have always had an apology and a compensatory act.
The food tends to be at a high standard here. There is always plenty of parking. The staff are attentive and helpful. The menu tends to be pub classics. UPDATE JANUARY 2023 We had a large family meeting 12 of us. All the food was perfect.
We had our first Sunday lunch here and we were very impressed. We had the 2 course and both were really tasty and cooked well. Great service, lovely atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We will be back
Had a lovely business lunch, cold winter's day but real fire, cosy surroundings and a warm welcome made us feel at home. We all had the pie which was exceptional! Chips or mash and veg, kept me going for the rest of the day.. Great friendly service could have stayed all day if I didn't need to go do some work
Friendly staff, good food, dog friendly too. Not rushed even when busy. Good range of choices on menu. Good value for money.Service: 5/5
Some of our party were late for our timed booking as we all travelled a long way , the staff were great about this and moved us to a later sitting . Enjoyed the meal but 3 sprouts ! Which were still crunchy and a very small serving of red cabbage . One carrot and one parsnip and no yorkies ! Can improve by putting a decent amount of veg on and yourkies ! They make the roast Pudding was amazing
The staff are very welcoming and friendly, food delicious, hubby had haddock in amazing crispy Better, I had the chargrilld chicken and bacon salad, both were very good.Service: 5/5
