Highly recommended. Good sized portions, perfectly cooked. Many families there, but you'd never know. Beautifully done up, and huge garden for the summer. Gentle background music and chatter gave it a great atmosphere for lunch. Would be even better if another V / VE option or two were added only 1 main on today. Nevertheless, we'll be back.
The starters was really good, the Sunday roast meat was not that nice for the price. Service was very good for the large group of us. The pub was pretty empty and with the "locals" that was in the pub just kept looking at us like we shouldn't have been there.Food: 4/5
Stopped here for Sunday lunch. Pleasant atmosphere, attractive bar and dining areas, friendly and quick service. We both had the roast lamb and usual trimmings which was no more than average - the meat tasted bought in rather than roasted on site, which is always disappointing.Food: 3/5
Very nice menu and food and service excellent. It was our grandaughters birthday so a special occasion. Nice portion sizes. Ale pie was just so yummy. Bit of a journey for us to get there but worth it.
The Sunday roast was so disappointing. Gutted as my family made a lengthy trip to this pub. A £23 ‘leg of lamb’ was akin to Finders frozen meat slices and the ‘homemade’ gravy was tasteless. The only positive I can find is the very friendly staff.
Great little pub with its modern yet country feel. Very warm welcome both before and after using facilities on a local walk. Great coffee and comfy sofas by the log burner. Thank you!
Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. They have changed the menu which they publish online, which sounds lovely, to having taken my partner there for a surprise birthday meal last night, to their new menu, which is now just you basic pub grub & not yet published online...theu still show their previous menu!!. Very limited choice & rather bland tasting food. The wine too was corked. Expensive for what we actually had.
Terrific steak tonight, loved the apple and raisen crumble too. Excellent, service very good too.
An amazing place. The food is amazing, very tasty. The staff is polite, work very well. I'll come back here again.
