I turned up at the shop on a bank holiday Monday with a frankly unroadworthy touring bike that I was attempting to ride home to Devon on, via Wales. The guys did their absolute best to get me back on the road but I was pushed for time and the bike really needed a rebuild. The first day the mechanic wasn't in but the others did what they could and I was even given a lift to a campsite (with a great pub next door) while they kept my bike in overnight. They really did go out of their way to help me and I enjoyed two lots of beans on toast at the cafe. Friendliest bike shop I've been in and so kind, that includes the other customers who between them sorted out a smaller initial issue with one of my mudguards, led me out of town on one of my attempts, and ultimately offered me a lift to Preston. I'd recommend The Green Jersey to anyone, and they're practically on the end-to-end route. They're actually open Sundays and bank holidays which is amazing. Oh and they have a lot of beautiful bikes which I wanted to buy 😉

I've met Tom @ the Green Jersey a few times now and have been very happy to do business with him. His knowledge, customer care and passion for bikes are excellent and he is a thoroughly nice chap to deal with. Thanks Tom. Frank (Preston)

I took my MTB in last week with a damaged pedal thread and was thoroughly disappointed to be told after a couple of days that I'd need a new crank costing £200. After googling the problem and realising it was "easily" fixed, I took it away for a second opinion from a proper bike repair specialist in Skipton where they fixed the pedal thread, serviced the bike and fitted a new inner tube for a fifth of the Green Jersey price - and I had it back within two hours of dropping it off.

I have been to the Green Jersey a few times for a brew and a cake which has always been good. On this occasion my "new" internet purchased bike decided it was going to let go of the front brake, fortunately for me not whilst I was using it. What to do was the dilemma, keep riding on the back brake or detour to the Green Jersey. With the Trough of Bowland being my route the decision was easy. After a quick chat with the mechanic (sorry didn't get your name) to try a buy the parts required, he had a dig in his spares box and found the bolt required and even fitted it for me then checked a few other fasteners for tightness. It turns out that internet bought bikes often don't get properly checked and are regularly needing attention of a good bike shop. So the lessen is spend a little more and get a properly sorted bike from a bike shop that fully checks the bike prior to it leaving the shop like the Green Jersey,. Many thanks for your help.
