I had a nice mixed roast dinner last Sunday. Service was quick and the staff attentive and polite. Worth a visit. Nice country pub. 12/11/22- new Photos added often. The food seems to get better and better. 25/12/22- Pictures added from Christmas day lunch.. all the food was beautiful.. the staff were extremely attentive and kindly moved our table from right in the walkway, next to the bar, as there was alot of hustle and bustle there while we would of been eating.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Friendly service. All round great spot

Lovely gastro pub, nice decor, friendly staff in a country location.  My only negative is the acoustics aren't great so it's one of those places that can feel very noisy inside when full. Lots of nice outdoor seating though.  On the real positive food was innovative and absolutely delicious, and there was a good wine list featuring some lovely local wines of which there are many options in the area.  Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely place! A great stop while cycling. Food was fantastic, one of the best trouts I’ve ever had. Staff are super friendly and professional. Pizzas looked interesting. Will definitely try next time.

The best service I can remember for a very long time. Alex and his team really do go above and beyond to ensure the dining experience is 1st class. The food menu is varied, absolutely delicious and filling. We went as a family of 4 and it was my 15 yr old’s birthday, he was made to feel very special by the team at The Great house. Can’t wait to go back there. We booked one of the lodges for our meal, which made it a really special private dining experience.

We booked dinner here before heading to the Bedgebury Christmas lights show. Our table wasn't ready and with an hour and three quarters it was a bit rushed as service was slow. This was understandable as it was incredibly popular. The meal was delicious and the pizzas were fabulous. We were able to watch them being baked in the ginormous pizza oven. Great atmosphere and lovely decor. One will be returning too for sure.

An excellent venue for our family lunch. The menu and food was amazing. I had the steak which was cooked exactly as requested, along with a seasonal pie and vegetables. Would definitely return!

Great pub, local to me. Food is superb and staff are good. Only slight criticism and it's personal preference but having spent many years working in Hospitality, the tables are a bit too close together in the restaurant.
