Story

The Great House Hotel is home to restaurant Tommy Heaney which holds the title of the Restaurant of The Year for Wales for 2017 and 2016.

The restaurant and bar are open to both residents and non-residents. Restaurant Tommy Heaney serves seasonal dishes using the best local produce.
Head Chef Tommy describes his food as honest, delicate and pure with flavour where each element on the plate has an important role to play rather than fine dining.
The restaurant has a welcoming and relaxed feel to reflect his style of cooking.

So many of the original features dating back from the early 15th century remain in the house and the Coach House which houses accommodation overlooking the beautiful landscaped garden.

One half of hotel is stuck in the 1970's the other half is ultra modern... guest beware stay in rooms 1 to 4 and mortgage needed if you want to eat in hotel restaurant

A rare find. Quaint little hotel

So elegant and always a lovely ambiance. Ran out of Lauren Pierr but it was fine as we bought another champagne and added chambord. Food was tasty and well presented. Fair pricing too

What a superb hotel! Our room was lovely, clean and spacious and the outdoor area was very pretty. The staff were fantastic,  very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We are planning to return in the near future

Beautiful building, lots of original features. Decor brings it up to date. Very comfortable beds. Food in the restaurant was very tasty but menu slightly limited.

Excellent food superb room brilliant staff would definitely recommend

Organised and efficient regarding social distancing guidelines. The quality and presentation of every course was superb while the value was quite unbelievable. Thank you  to the chef and team for the meal, Martyna and Edward for taking care of us. We will return soon.

Nice place to stay. Staff were great. Restaurant and breakfast fantastic - 5 stars! Would stay again.
