The Great Expectations

The room was warm and clean and the bed was SUPER comfy! The actual bar / restaurant is amazing, really well considered decor and theme with quality food and drinks... the lovely Darrell that served us breakfast was really accommodating to all our bizzare hungover dietary and coffee requests and nothing was too much trouble! Highly recommended for a stay, eating, drinking and excellent staff! Thank you! From all of us at the back table with the bloodshot eyes!

Good selection of beer, spacious. Unfortunately in the quieter alcoves they have speakers blasting out sound from the TV which is unfortunate if you want to escape that. Very welcoming for board gamers!

Lovely hotel and bar. Great room and comfortable bed.

Visited bar area, comfy seats, drinks quite expensive, bar empty at time of visit, service was reasonable but obviously lacking in atmosphere

But quirky but fun. Ok service. But nice rooms. Would have got a extra star if it was wheelchair accessible or even got a lift. There are a lot of uneven and spirial type stairs. The bar is also very lively in the evening so not for the ones who want/need to go to bed early.
